Ahh…love how Maria was looking with that throw. XD

Most female javelin throwers (except the ugly ones) are hot.

Perhaps that's it, but that is surely a short-sighted attitude, a lot of the enjoyment and excitement of sport is the competition between athletes.  I think it is prtly because people don't understand that a lot of those East German athletes were roided up to their eyeballs and that a clean conmpetitor isn't going to break those records.  I personally think the IAAF should have the official 100m and 200m records as those after 1989.

Well, I haven't watched as much of the Championships as you, but I'm definitly enjoying seeing some great althletic women performing at the top level.  I'm especially pleased with the performance of my countrywoman Jess Ennis in leading the Heptathlon.

BTW, here's a report which might stimulate debate:

Best I can produce is a female rambler (hiker) in the Cotswolds last autumn who had great thighs and beautiful calves. ::)  My home area tends to be one of either skinnyfat or just plain obese girls.

Female muscle always looks different, mainly from the front.  Very hard to describe, but once you've seen enough photos of muscular women, you can see the difference.  Mind you, the current top Pros (Ms. O winners) are getting closer to the male physique.  I really am through with that extreme end of the sport now.

I agree with cpbell. Nose rings are for kids going through a goth phase 😀

    It's like fitting a towhitch on a classic 1960s Ferrari – vandalism. >:(

Thanks Alex.  Of course, it's none of our business, just a pity given her physique and looks.
