I know that most of the posting on here is FBB-based, and I'm not saying that DP's post wasn't welcome.  I took my cue from Mimi's original post, which was FBB-only.  I therefore felt that the thread should be kept on-topic for the short term to give those of us who had other FBBers in mind to comment.  If Mimi and AlexG don't object, then there is, of course, no reason why, given the board this is on, to make it more generalised. 8)

Not really. She's one of those Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie cadre'. They are famous because of a name or association. In Kim's case, her dad was one of OJ Simpson's lawyer, her stepdad is Bruce Jenner.

Her biggest claim to fame, right now, is that she stars in a reality (or what passes for reality these days) TV show called "Keeping Up with The Kardashians". Its mostly a venue to show just how spoiled her and her sisters are.

Aha.  I'm aware of Simpson's fall from grace (who alive on Earth isn't?) but, perhaps because of being British, I wouldn't know Bruce Jenner from a pillar of salt. :-[  Never mind.  I get the picture. 😉
