I have never heard of a "Strongwoman" competition…sorry about that.  When I read Cindy's blog…I'm glad she's being true to her feelings.  However, even if she didn't want to be in any competitions, she shouldn't give up bodybuilding.  It's like me and cars (I LOVE CARS!)…if I spent years and years restoring an old classic to remarkable shape, why would I just say "the heck with it" and let it rust out?  Why would I neglect it?
I feel Cindy is starting to fall under the spell of "women are suppose to be without any muscle."  I've know of a woman who use to bodybuild, but wanted to give it up.  She kept the eating habits of a FBB, but her body is so skinny, she has nothing to show for it.
I hope she'll reconsider and continue body building…but the final decision is up to her.  After all, she has to do what makes her happy…
And lastly (sorry about the length), I've always heard of FBBs who "Juice"…but how in the world can you tell?  Not many FBBs seem to show much size difference, unless I'm just not aware.  Also, just cause it's a trend, doesn't mean she'd have to follow it.

For Strongwoman stuff, look-up women like Jill Mills, Shannon Hartnett (sp?) etc.  Sometimes it gets added-into the catch-all "Strongman" terms, especially where men and women compete together in seperate classes.  As for signs of 'roids, the following is as good a guide as any (as always, your mileage might vary):

    Squared, enlarged jaw

    Enlarged, sometimes bulbous nose

    Roughened skin

    Deepened, gravelly voice

    Increased libido

A tendency towards aggressiveness unlike normal character for the woman concerned.

Sorry, no pics with this post, only a thoughtful, and insightful, post by Cindy.

Of which, has also triggered a commentary thread on Unrealmuscle . . .

I was actually so moved by her writing that I overcame my initial shyness (yes, I am naturally shy; it took me a long while to pluck up courage to post here, too) and posted a comment to her.  It's rare to find an FBB (anyone, in fact) who thinks that deeply at such a tender age.  I've long feared that she'd get caught-up in the drugs culture of the Pro circuit and wind-up like certain persons we know on here who've become more known for being steroid poster children than as maidens of muscle.  The problem is, the thought of her leaving BB altogether, and possibly letting that glorious physique slip is heartbreaking. :'(  I suggested in my response that perhaps Strongwoman competition might suit her better.  Any opinions?

The interesting thing is that England, being so diverse, doesn't create that same effect that Lingster describes.  By the way, boss, I've got a good bit of Celtic (mainly Irish) blood in me too.  It's probably what makes us lock horns over politics so much here – we're both fiery argumentative Celtic sods. ;D ::)

    Diplomacy is for wankers.

So, was Churchill an onanist, then?  "Better jaw-jaw than war-war" was one of his quotes.

Sorry egad, you're missing my point.  The Republicans were on a purely fact-finding trip, which is not proscribed by the Logan Act, whereas Pelosi was trying to influence foreign policy without Executive backing.  Heaven knows, despite my joke about Lingster converting me to the Republican side, any thought I give to the politics of the US (a foreign country to me, don't forget) tends to see me side with the Democrats, but, in this case Pelosi was in the wrong.
