hot damn I love cougars <3
lol
A “cougar” is a reference to an older woman who dates much younger men (i.e. Cher, Madonna). Just because she’s over 40 doesn’t make her a cougar.

I’d link the thumbnails, but can’t. Stacked, and packed. Nuff said. 😉
The first thing that popped into my head, seeing the thumbnails…..
“Big blue rubber baby buggy bumpers” :S

ParticipantMotivation, its been very, very hard for me. Its probably why I’ve spent most of my life overweight and out of shape. I’ve never been able to muster the “do it for yourself”.
But the last 6 years have provided me with a different motivation, mortality. I watched my Father, Mother both die from things that were a result of not taking care of themselves. Then one of my best friends, who was easily capable of literally “hulking-out”, stopped taking care of himself. He came down with Type 2 diabetes and almost lost a foot to it (he ended up losing only a small toe).
A couple of years ago, I took a stress test and the doctor saw a shadow in one part of my heart. He put the fear of god into me and I began working out. I dropped 40 pounds and actually had some visible muscle in places other than my legs. I took another stress test, the shadow was gone, I felt better and was almost off my blood pressure meds. Unfortunately, life kinda fell apart for me early 2009 and now I find myself having to start over again.
Forget looking for inspiration in another person or yourself. Look for it in the simple question, “How long do I want to live and how good do I want that life to be?”

ParticipantThe artist does a nicely muscular SH, but he sucks otherwise. He’s one these artist that can draw mouths only closed or wide open. It makes everyone look like they are either ventriloquists or screaming their lines.
Obviously a student of the Jack Kirby school of comic drawing. The only thing he’s missing is the square finger tips.

My point was meant to be that we are all people (correct me if I’m wrong)
I am actually a radish that achieved sentience through a random burst of iPhone radiation during a meteor shower on a Thursday night of the autumnal equinox…
Now see, if you had held the iPhone in that “death grip” thingy, you would’ve been alright. Nothing would get through. 😛

ParticipantDoes anyone have an updated set of instructions for registering on Pixiv? They’ve changed the home page and none of the “how-tos” on here match it anymore.

Solarian has plenty of cred around here, as do you. You both contribute a lot here. It is certainly hard to know what you think of a topic before you read it, so I don’t get your reply. S might have a lot going on in his life. Let’s give him a little slack.
Just because you read a topic doesn’t mean you need to reply. Lingster isn’t sitting there, behind you, with a shotgun going, “You opened it, now write something”. There are topics that I have stumbled into that I find weird, distasteful or borderline fetishist. Some people are into that, so who am I to start ripping them with posts. I just close the topic and never go back to it.
Its all part of a bigger problem of rudeness on the Internet. Because people aren’t themselves, they are operating under an anonymous screen name, they feel its alright to be rude, mean or just simply jerks.
And then there those who just ignore it and make excuses for it. Tell me, if you were in a group of people, out for drinks and wings, and someone popped up and started being rude to everyone, disrupting the get together because he thought the conversation was stupid, would you just sit there and make excuses for him? If not, why would you do it online?

return of the bionic woman any one?
I’ll see your Bionic Woman and raise you a Battlestar: Galactica.
A reboot can work, look at Hawaii 5-0, its doing great in the ratings. The writing is doing good, there’s an actual evolution of the characters going on from week to week. You can see the showrunners are guiding the group into becoming the cohesive team of the original.
Its has done so well that Ronald Moore, the guy that did the great B:G reboot, is going to be shopping around a reboot of The Wild Wild West. With him behind it, I think it stand a fair chance of being good.
You just need the right combination of showrunners, writers and cast for it to work.

ParticipantYa gotta love them French comics.
That’s why, back in the late ’70s and early ’80s, I bought Heavy Metal magazine all the time. Back then, it was still a translated, straight forward reprint of the original French edition.
Oh boy! :woohoo:
