    Finally, I have unpacked my way to my poster collection. I’ve mentioned before that I had a door poster of Ms Fairchild. I finally found it and hung it up. And took a picture. :laugh:

    Enjoy.

    I read some news stories today about a rogue satellite that supposedly had its brain fried by a solar flare. They are worried it could move into another orbit and hijack the signal of other satellites.

    One of the stories said it handled TV signal of cable stations. One of the stations it relayed? SyFy.

    I’m betting it wasn’t a solar flare but its onboard computer committed hari-kiri after having bounced a few of SyFy’s movies. 😛

    This Stargate Universe thing is crap. Let’s take the worst elements of Star Trek Voyager, Battlesetar Galactica and Stargate and throw them into one convenient show with boring two dimensional characters, wow what a great idea!!!! :X

    Thank you for confirming that I’m not the only one to think so. B)

    SGU = Dreck x2 :angry:

    It has one thing going for it, Ming Na, the best Chun Li there’s been. And who I’ve had the hots for since the movie Joy Luck Club. 🙂

    You know, sci fi(not a typo) used to have much better original movies. The 2 dune miniseries and the Olivier Gruner movies intercepter force 1-2 and velocity trap were good. Heck Dog Soldiers made its US premier on the sci fi channel. But, yes the quality of their programming is steadily going down. Sadly not even The Doctor can help them, for he is on BBC America now.

    About the only thing worth watching on SyFy is “Caprica”. I’m not holding out much hope for the adaptation they are supposedly working on of Asimov’s Foundation books.

    Has anyone seen this new release?

    Nope. I think that I’ll wait untilthey translate & publish it here in French… if it happens: :dry: Marvel is a lot more popular than DC here…

    As a collector of Japanese manga, I can say that language this is no big deal, as long as the pictures are worth it. 😆

    Ya know, I love a really bad scifi movie as much as the next guy, but the homemade SyFy ones are getting downright painful to watch. They make the stuff from the ’50s and ’60s look like Kurosawa productions.

    And poor Sean Patrick Flannery, its really sad that his peak was his first major role, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

    Some of my favorite book covers were the “Chicks” anthologies. They were collections of short stories about strong women. They had titles like “Chicks in the Mail” or “Chicks ‘N Chained Male”. I have most of them but they are still packed up from my move into my new house, or I’d scan a couple. :unsure:

    That’s just the first book in the series. Ultimately, I think there were 5 or 6 and the titles became more playful, usually a bad pun, like the 2 I listed. :laugh:
