Well, Hannie was the original inspiration for the character and the movie.  Unfortunately, she's no longer active in bodybuilding (and, I hate to say this, probably too old to play the lead.  And I have no idea how to get in touch with her anyway).

Hmm.  I don't know whether, or how much, to say about this, since nothing is official; there have been no contracts signed, and we're still trying to line up financing and a director, but I can't resist saying this much:

Marika Johansson has a copy of the screenplay "Last Ride of the Valkyrie" that I wrote (with Joel Davis), and she has expressed interest in playing the role of the main character, Thyvalla.

Like I said, nothing is set in stone, there's no guarantee that this movie will ever get made or that Ms. Johansson will wind up starring.  But the possibility… *sigh*
