Favorite lines out of FMG stuff I've written? Hmm… well, I haven't done a lot of actual FMG. But I had a lot of fun writing Slades' lines for his first "meeting" with Sonya in Tetsuko #1, page 19 (last panel):

Sonya (her mouth gagged): GRRRM MRRMFRGGRRMM SRRMMRRMM GRRMMM![/i]
Winston; She's, ah, having a little trouble expressing how thrilled she is to be in your presence, Mr. Slade!
Slade: And no wonder! Gentlemen, remove those bindings at once! We must treat our guest with the utmost courtesy!

Has that "Bond Villain" vibe to it. "I intend to kill you very painfully later, Mr. Bond, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy your filet mignon."

I think, though, that my favorite line that I've written out of any comic has to be the line in panel 1 of this page of "The Adventures of Dr. Sonya Beta and Beta Max":

"This had better be a dream sequence or someone's in BIG TROUBLE!"

(Sonya Beta being the direct inspiration for Sonya Gannon, as explained here.)

Favorite line from someone else's FMG story? Brrr… have to get back to you on that one…

A question: Now that the Amaz0ns logo (at least on the forum pages) has been changed to red* text on white, should we change our drawings to reflect that new scheme?  Or is the fact that the main page retains the white-on-red* scheme sufficient reason to leave things as they are?

Just in case, I did "remix" my drawing so that Tet-chan now sports a white T-shirt with red* text:

*Okay, it's not "red" – burgundy? maroon?

Seems pretty on-target to me. I'd only add that the agenda of the radical environmentalists includes trashing traditional definitions of "masculinity" as part and parcel of trying to destroy the whole of Western Civlization.

Look at how limited the choices of alternatives to petroleum would be if we took their advice: Can't use wind power, that kills migratory birds who get caught in the windmill blades. Hydroelectric? Hell no! too much destruction of wilderness when we dam up a river. And don't even mention nuclear power – evil! evil! (At least when American utilities propose it; strange that there are no protests from the anti-nuke crowd of Iran's and North Korea's nuclear programs…) The greens won't be happy until the rest of us are reduced to living in caves, burning our own excrement for heat (can't cut down trees, y'know), and scrounging for twigs and berries to eat (not allowed to farm, not allowed to raise food animals)…

I am happy to see the amount of attention that the efforts on the part of global-warming alarmists to ban any discussion or dissension from climate change dogma are receiving. I am a global-warming skeptic myself; there's too much evidence of other, non-man-made factors (including increased solar activity), and too many instances of cycles of warming and cooling in the past, for me to believe that the current warming (if it's happening) is totally or even largely man-made and requires massive disruptions of our economic and cultural lives to "combat". To hear that my opinion ought to subject me to a Nuremburg-style war crimes trial frightens me more than any provision of the Patriot Act.

The UK's Channel 4 recently aired a 90-minute documentary, "The Great Global Warming Swindle", which debunks the alarmism.

Aw, crap! Now we gotta go and change all the T-shirts in the community pic to red text on white!

Seriously: I do like the new look.

I'm guessing that by "digitizer" you mean "drawing tablet" or "graphics tablet"?

If so, then you can't go wrong with a Wacom tablet. Wacom is by far the top maker of tablets, with a wide range of sizes and prices.  For $100 or so, you can get a 4" by 5" Graphire4; it also comes in 6" by 8" (those are the sizes of the actual drawing areas on the tablet).

USB is a type of interface with which to connect peripherals (like drawing tablets) to computers.  1.1 and 2.0 merely refer to the version numbers of USB, with USB 2.0 boasting a faster transfer rate.

    Hope this helps.

Here's the original post you were remembering.

As for a "what if?" style story along that line… I don't know when or if I'd have time for it.

Can you please post that version anyway? I'd LOVE to download an "extremely-high resolution" Tetsuko 😀 😀

Twist my arm – ouch! that's hard enough!

I'm posting a link to the pic, because I don't want to throw off the formatting of the forum on anyone's monitor with a too-wide drawing.

It'll give you a chance to see just how jiggly and shaky my linework is, and how much of a blessing reduced resolution can be sometimes ;D

Hey, I made it in before the deadline! (for once…)

And, Kulli, if you need a higher resolution version, just e-mail or PM me. The original is 1325 by 2430 px.
