ParticipantIt certainly could inspire a Tetsuko drawing… maybe someday ;D

ParticipantAnd your new avatar, Dave, rolls. 8)
Funny thing is, it wasn't supposed to be a new avatar; it was just supposed to be the image for my profile page. Apparently it serves double duty as the avatar too. But I'm glad you like it. (and thanks for the other compliments!)

ParticipantWow…
I hope everyone else is enjoying this as much as I am!

ParticipantThis is weird…I was actually going to sit down the next couple of days and bang out a drawing of Tetsuko in a Halloween costume.
Believe it or not, I do have pics of Tet-chan in some of the costumes mentioned! This takes just a bit of explanation…
Back in 1998 (or so my file-creation dates tell me), I crackd open Photoshop for the first time – version 3 IIRC. And I began to experiment with this cool feature called "layers". I found that I could do a drawing of Tetsuko on the bottommost layer, and then draw different pieces of clothing on layers on top of the background layer, and by turning the opacity of the layers off and on I could have Tetsuko change costume in one or two mouse clicks. It was like a virtual paper doll! (Okay, that was a little strange even for me.) So anyway, I went back to those files, and I saved out a version of each of the costumes mentioned.
Couple of thoughts from me include Lum (not sure if she's as much a UY fan…), maybe Honey (well OK, both of them are from reading some stuff on the DCM site)…though personally I have a few other ideas I can't really say right now.
As it happens, Tetsuko is a HUGE fan of Urusei Yatsura (as am I – one of my proudest achievements is the fact that I now have every episode of the TV series, every movie and every OAV on DVD… which just means I have to go for some more worthwhile achievements, ne?) So here she is as the delectable Lum:

ParticipantI know how you feel. I turned off comments at my update blog because of these "anonymous fucks". At first it was just complaints about the fact that I don't produce content on a frequent (or even consistent) basis; then they started turning nasty about why I wasn't cranking stuff out fast enough to satisfy them (mind you, no praise or gratitude for the stuff I do produce for no charge ). It disappointed me to have to get rid of commenting, because I genuinely enjoyed the positive feedback I was getting.

ParticipantI like this idea. There've been times I've wanted to direct friends online and off to artwork at this forum, but sometimes they're reluctant to become members. This way they can see the pics. (I'm assuming only members can post pics and leave comments?)
