ParticipantIt's gone now. I took the liberty of removing it.
I don't read Chinese, but it didn't look like it was germaine to the discussion.

Participant"Just a scribble", he calls it… still damn fine work!

ParticipantGreat pic, etc etc but the question I am left with is how is it any different from photoshop or other digitial imaging programs?
It seems to deal more with vector art, though not in the same way as Illustraor does. (I can draw and sketch in it the same way I do in Photoshop or Painter.) And as I noted on either my blog or the comments at the gallery, MS seemed to be geared heavily toward print production, not Web graphics.
Does it have filters for giving characters big saucer eyes and removing noses?
😆 😆
Or does it just have a large library of half-tones?
It does have a large variety of tones, but there's a lot more to it than that.

ParticipantNow that is what I would call, anime! I wen't to the site to see if there were any free downloads, but I don't see one for the moment. I just want it on my computer, instead of Photoshop CS2. Those things cost [glow=green,2,300]$700![/glow] I'm not kidding! Until then, I'll use my Photoshop 5.5
Here's a link to the downloadable demo version (for Windows only, even though the actual software is available for both Mac and Windows). Click on "Continue>>>" at the bottom of the page.
I have no idea what features you get in it, whether it's the $50 "Debut" edition or the $300 "EX" (pro) version, if/how it's crippled, anything like that. (I hate it when software companies won't give you that info about a demo.)
I'll keep using my copy and share my experiences with the software as I get the chance to.

ParticipantSo let me make sure I understand: all the text fiction is moving to this new site… that would leave this site (Amaz0ns) for the visual stuff (art, photos, morphs)?
Hmm. Have to give that some thought.

ParticipantOkay, that's enough… you're getting too good! I feel threatened! 😀 😀 😀

ParticipantThat's a good idea. Maybe something along the lines of what elee does with the "Link-a-Day" thing… an individual post for the video itself, so that comments on the video can stay in that thread, then a separate "Interesting OT videos" thread that collects all the links (without comments).
(BTW: funny clip! I love the end, where Hulk can't even spell his own phone #!)

ParticipantI'm afraid I can't add any variety to the responses, Collector_2; you've pretty much covered most of the reasons I draw them (even down to the "good girl" part).
And hey, they are sexy!

ParticipantThat's outrageous. I'd seen the story (of how Google is cooperating with China's communist rulers in censoring the Internet on the mainland) a couple of months ago; this (and a couple of other moves by Google that rub me the wrong way) are making me seriously consider moving my update blog away from Blogger (a Google company). Maybe WordPress or LiveJournal.

ParticipantNice work, and good to see you back, Eegore!
One of these days I need to get off my lazy a** and do some animation.
(BTW, need a NSFW tag on the subject header.)
