Okay, one more post about Cheech and Chong, and the "Dave" reference, because Gettar82's cultural education will not be complete without at least one C&C reference point… 😀

I tried to see if the entire sketch was available online, but couldn't find it. I did find this transcript of at least a portion, however, and an MP3 file of the line itself.

(Soft knocks at the door)
CHONG: Who is it?
CHEECH: It's me, Dave. Open up, man, I got the stuff.
(More knocks)

(More knocks)

CHONG: Who is it?
CHEECH: Oh, what the hell is it…c'mon. Open up the door! It's Dave!

Another nice set of drawings… I like to see an artist strike a balance between hardcore bodybuilding poses, "tuff grrl" stances, casual "everyday" poses and cute "feminine" poses.

Even most paid web hosting is very VERY leery of hosting adult material.

Read very carefully (if you can find it; a lot of services love to hide it) the TOS, or Terms Of Service agreement. Most will say they won't host anything "pornographic" because what constitutes "pornography" changes so much from locality to locality, and they don't the law to come down on them wherever someone views a site hosted by them.

On that note, you might want to check out one of this site's own sponsors, DreamHost. I checked out their TOS, and the only thing I found they don't allow (in the "adult material" category; of course they ban such uses as spamming and file piracy, etc.) was child pornography. So my guess is if you don't go too hardcore on them, you won't get any trouble from them. (After all, Amaz0ns is hosted on DreamHost servers, and look what we get away with posting  😀 )

Another guess is that the $7.95/mo. rate is only available if you pay for a year in advance (the way it is with my webhost); $94.50. I think of my website as a hobby; in much the same way some will take up fishing (and the related expenses of tackle, boats, bait, etc.) or comics collecting (and we all know how expensive that can be  😆 ) …heck, for some people I've met $94.50 is a weekend's worth of beer! Well, for my hobby, the web hosting is an expense. (Donations through my Amazon.com Honor System paybox do help defray those costs, so that's something you might want to look into.)

Addressing WW's sexuality in a film that's going to draw a large number of children and pre-teens would be irresponsible anyway, in my opinion. And Delmo's right; WW is posited as heterosexual. Speculating aloud about what she and her fellow Amazons did about sex (if anything; how do we know they weren't celibate?) is fun for us fanboys (and -girls), but a movie that purports to tell the "official" story (or at least "an" official story) can't stray too far from canon. Trying to establish WW as bisexual or lesbian would do just that.

(And a word about the costume: Personally, I'd lose interest if any of the ideas I've seen expressed here vis-a-vis redesigning the costume for the movie were to be implemented, causing the design to stray too far from its origins. If the costume don't look like WW's, then that ain't WW on the screen… "Exhibit A".)

I's had a strange suspicion, dear David, when I's saw the title of this thread that the contents there in would be of Tetsuko-chan sitting in bed eating.
Personally, my's perference would have been for Tet-chan sprawled sleeping across a her bed, tangled in her sheets, in a messy room, limb akimbo because the bed is too small for her new body and she lacks the funds to buy a new one.
Though this was a wonderful work as well.
