Delmo Walters Jr.
ParticipantThanks. I didn't bother with it as that animation style really doesn't suit muscular women.

ParticipantNot familiar with this episode. Is it a good one?

ParticipantRick Moranis has the very sterio typical vew of what the general public sees as a nerd. I think they were just shooting for the role reversal of the strong and muscular person who happens to be dating the small mousey nerd. In the cap of them dancing at the end of the ad it looks like the guy is about five feet tall as well as Betty just dwarfs and towers over him in every way.
Lucky basterd… 😉
That wasn't Rick Moranis.

ParticipantThe poster on the Youtube video was evidently living-up to the usual numpty standard. ::) She sounds very feminine and is in wonderful shape for her age! 8)
It's on YouTube?

ParticipantYou beat me to it! I hope someone posts a larger version of the commercial on YouTube. The version on the website is almost postage stamp size.

ParticipantGuess others have seen this commercial.

ParticipantMaybe she's a local UK bodybuilder? The two tone seats in the car are a crime.

ParticipantSpeaking as someone whose disability has caused many fractured and broken bones (especially during my childhood), I can confirm that you were/are either:
a. Very stupid
b. Very brave
c. In possession of a ridiculously high pain threshold
or
d. All of the above.
😮 ;D 😉
I was thinking the same thing as my sister broke 3 bones in her ankle last month and was not exactly shying away from the painkillers so, either high pain threshold or just some hairline fractures instead of actual breaks. Maybe if you ever have an occasion to get that hand x-rayed, then you'll know for sure.

ParticipantSounds like it.

ParticipantActually, there was a commercial very similar to this for Brawny paper towels in the US a few years back. The premise was the opposite, though – using Brawny temporarily gave a woman enormous strength, rather than the Argentinean ad's premise that washing dishes gave her huge muscles.
In another case of similar but different, here's a Spanish commercial that takes a page from the "I'm drinking milk…" ad campaign of the '80s.
