Hi, Doc! Long time fan here; did a fanart for Polymer City Chronicles a few years ago (the one with the cgi buildings background, don’t know if you remember).

I’ve been Reading on DA that maybe you’ll return to the comic; perhaps a reboot of some kind? Can’t hardly wait…I’ve always liked your clean style and your characters.

Can I say something about the revamped designs? I’ll go out on a limb on some, but believe me I say this with nothing but admiration for your work:

Andrah: I prefer the noseless version of her; she really looks like an alien and not like a blue skinned (ubermuscular) woman. Besides, you always managed to give her a serene, calm expression that contrasted heavily with her obvious physical power…this face is even more suited for that.

Sheeri: okay, I believe I’m the 0.01% out there 😉 , but I don’t like her hulking out. Why? Because you already have a supermuscular female character: Andrah. I’d leave the hulking sequence to her, as some kind of “Ultimate Mode” for her “living weapon” status. If I remember correctly (it’s been some time), Sheeri was brought to the crew as eyecandy, and I’d keep her that way: in her usual priestess robe, with occasional hints and peeks at a (hot, extra hot, super hot) body underneath it. You know, the classic money shots, behind-shower-curtains scenes, the usual. Maybe someday someone discovers that… what do you know, she’s unbelievably fit. “You know, I’ve been working out…”

Anyway, enough meddling and playing editor. Congratulations on your talent, and thank you a thousand times for giving us more samples of it. Can’t wait for the relaunch of the comic (if it ever happens…), and I’ll be more tan glad to do some fanart.

Your point is noted and agreed with, believe it or not…Andrah was the main reason I saw no reason to mess with Sheeri’s physiology for so long, but I think that chapter of my life is closed, and now I move on to something else.

Truth is that PCC was a unique opportunity at a unique point in time…I was working a great paying job 28 hours a week and had time to invest in it. That job evaporated in 2007 (the year I ended the strip) and to be perfectly honest, i don’t ever see an opportunity to ever start it up again. It simply gets harder and harder to make ends meet year to year, and that’s with working two jobs six days a week. As much as I talk about revisiting PCC again, the reality is that’s about all its ever gonna be: talk.

What I’m doing right now with Sheeri is something I feel I can offer that’s still relevant…she’s grown wide as well as up, and since I don’t see PCC as restarting again, what’s the harm? There’s no Andrah factor here as Sheeri clearly has become the spotlight hog over at my DA account, so I do what I can when the inspriration strikes. It’s really a bit of a surprise how it all turned out…i never expected such a clamor from fans to see Sheeri bulk up, but sometimes things like these talk on a life of their own. Like I’ve said before…PCC was a bit like a marriage that went bad, but at least one of the kids turned out great.

I do recall that image, btw…it’s still on one of my older HDs.

If I did the math right, she’s just past 29. Urusai calendar years are 108 earth weeks (around 25 months) long; if you break that down, for each year a human ages, she ages 54 weeks. By the Urusai calendar she’s about 13.5 years old, but Urusai colonists typically use a dual calendar to keep track of their own customs and traditions as well as local Earth seasons. For this reason they use their native calendar age within their own colony and culture, but their solar age when dealing with humanity.

Mind you that the priestess training to don Artias’ helm have accelerated her maturation process as well; those four years were particularly harsh.

Excuse if I talk back Master  ;D… but I think the torso ist just right. Shoulders, breast and arms are in good relation to the size of her head. It gets disportionate from the belly downwards. Now the breast sit just perfect on her chest. They are not saggy and yet, they cover her belly – meaning that the waist was made to short. Her arms hang down to her…knees! Not because the arms are to long, but because the lower part of her body is to short.
And I am glad you are reconsidering the thing with Andrah.
    Thanks and best regards

You could be right, but 99% of the figures we draw are disproportionate. I'm not a perfectionist by any means; I tend to eyeball what looks right in my head. :p
