That's really a shame. Some folks just can't appreciate fine art. 🙂

I just realized that I took a whole hour to fix it. Wow. Time flies.
It worked for me only if I uploaded the avatar, and not if I pointed it to a URL. I got a "failed to write" message when I did it that way.
