Man, I'm pissed. First can somebody explain me WTF they mean by "didn't like what female bodybuilding was all about". I don't get it. The male side of the sport has gone down the same way,but they keep on suporting or endorsing it. The idea of people working out for a better life is long gone.

    Man, I'm pissed.

Well, after looking at some pictures, I have finnaly decide to give my take on this.
I think everybody makes good points here, but like DCM wrote, this is a bodybuilding contest, not a beauty pageant. So Iris did have the most developed and defined body of them all, and weather I like her appearence more or less, she was the one that looked better for a bodybuilding contest.
What I feel is weird, is they keep placing Dayana Cadeau in top. She might have better looks than Iris, but for me, she always looks like she is a week behind her dieting. She  doesn't look defined or ripped enough for me.
the two ladoes that I think were ignored the most are Lisa Aukland, who looked like she could have been there head to head with Iris but they placed her 4th, and Heather Polickly (Armbrust), because I still can't figure out why they placed her 14th.
What I really don't share with the judges, is that for me Iris isn't that much ahead of the rest. The gave her 20 and to
ÇBetty Vianna they gave 62. For me that's just too much a difference for what I saw.

Finnaly, let's not forget how many of us, myself included, went nuts when the IFBB added the "femininity clause" to the judges. We were pissed off, and now we complain that the Champuon isn't "too prety", or doesn`t have the looks.
Just like any contest based on judging and scoring, not everybody will be pleased with the outcome.

    Just my thoughts.

to clarify something. If one looks at the contest that Jd was participated that are Drug tested, most of them aren't IFBB or NPC sanctioned they are from other more serious federations.

This aside, Let's just get back to our usual discusions.

I always saw those perfume or women's clothing in general, as a way to make their partners buy them stuff. If a man sees an ad for certein perfume eith a sultry or a little sexual oriented image of what is concidered a beautifull woman, then he would by the perfume fir his wife/girlfreind/etc. so he can make her look more like the one in the ad.
And I think something similar but with the roles changed happens with male underwear. I'm tired of seing ripped guyin male underwear. That publicity won't make me buya new pair of undies never, but my girlfriend might buy one for the atraction she feels for the model in the ad.

the clip is from 1988. I'd say that the blacksmith is Ms. Herndon, amd I'm still trying to figure out the other lady.

First, the Marketing, commercial, and publicity industries are going to collapse, fall down, or what ever you want. I mean, all the ads out there are in a way "sexist". And besides, what is actually something sexist.
This sounds a lot like a pollitician wanting to score ome points and make a name.
I think there are way more important things to discuss than that now-a-days.

well guys, my only comment here on this matter is, and I really think that JD is natural, but it seem almost everybody here has omitted the fact that she has compited in drug-tested events. I mean, if there are shows where BBs are tested, and she compites, then, the most likely thing to asume if that she is natural. I don't know how much it would take, to "clean-up" you system from any performance enhancing drug, but, for ehat I heard and read, it's not like you dump the juice and you can contiinue working out jsut like that, your body feels the lack of those drugs, and you can't keep up your workouts.

    just my 2 cents
