Banner was alive at the end of WWH, and i think they even say something like lets keep him unconcious so he won't go green again, or something like that. I liked the idea/concept of him having all that he wanted taken away from him from his "so-called friends" and then comming back for revenge, Hulk style. What I didn't like was that were it was all a set up from the guys from Sakaar. It is like they build up this huge conspiracy thing from the iluminati, but then they think it is too big for some core characters, so let's just make another one the bad guy and make they all look not so bad.
What I liked about WWH, was seeing the Sentry with thew gloves off.

And returning to the original idea, MGN seems to have a personal problem with Quesada, but I think he's got a point, they have changed too much some of the characters, and continuity is non-existant now. I think they should stop with this big crossovers, for the last 4 or 5 years, we had Dissasembled, House of M, Civil War and WWH, and we never had time to acomodate to the aftermaths of any of those events. Now everything is a mess and nobody knows what to write.

I frequent a couple of comic boards (and Scans_Daily), and we're all praying the backlash from this insane excuse for horrible storytelling finally puts an end to Joe Quesada's reign of terror.

but he is still editor in chief, right?

I'm not too pleased with how they pulled it. I read Back in Black, and it was very good for me. I liked him going all bad ass, kicking the kingping's  ass and all that, and also liked how they started one more day, and they fight with iron man. But making MJ desappear is too bad, I believe that Aunt May shouyld have died, she was too old any way, but it would have given more pain to Peter, and more guilt on him. I think that he should have lived with the concecuences of going public. ANd he would still be an outlaw, and very Angry.

    That's my 2 cents

On a side note, I just read the Loeb/Mcguinness Hulk #1 and for me, it ROCKS!

I'm with demented and lingster, no matter what they came up with, there will always be somebody who will crack it, and then fill the net with that, and the only ones that end happy, are the designers that sold to almost everybody for a nice price that supposed it was a definitive solution.

Well to quote the asshole writing / drawing this…

"I sort of think of this project as putting an ending to Jack's New Gods' saga. Since Kirby's initial run on the characters others have presented them with mixed results. Looking back I'd say at least half of the past New Gods series have done more harm than good. So for me, Death of the New Gods is half honoring Jack Kirby, half mercy killing."

How about we unmerfifully kill him?

I'm with you Kusa, but first he should experience death like all the New Gods he has already killed (and the ones that will die soon too).
