ParticipantI'm trying to turn Amaz0ns into more of a community site and less of a blog. I want the forum stuff, and new community features, to be prominently featured on the front page.
Basically, I don't have the time anymore to do so much writing for the site and need to find another way for it to work.
Cool beans. What are the kind of new community features we'd be getting? This sounds all very exciting. 🙂

ParticipantWhat exactly is it you're trying to do? I won't be able to help, but what exactly is worth all this hassle for you? ???

ParticipantIt seems D is Dave Jacobs and has allegedly used steroids. As a result, they've punished Amanda because they're in a relationship and not allowed her to compete. Which makes very little sense.

ParticipantHer death is unusual, obviously. And I infer you (and others) are wondering if it had anything to do with steroid use.
Her ex-husband claimed in an article printed in 1996 that Beattie had not used steroids during her IFBB bodybuilding career or during her tenure as an American Gladiator. (Her first pro contest was in 1991.) He admitted that she'd used them previous to that, specifically to win the NPC USAs in 1990, and claimed that she stopped competing in the IFBB because she wasn't willing to go back on steroids. I find his claims credible.
I certainly didn't wonder if it was steroids. I assumed that it would be one of those odd, sudden, "BANG. YOU ARE DEAD" things like a heart attack – but it seems she was "gravely ill" so I'm guessing some form of cancer. But I didn't know and what was curious for a simple reason:
The woman's career was all about her being a top physical specimen. She was young. I don't see why you'd infer anyone would assume or think it has to do with steroids.
