ParticipantAs I recall, the Golden Age Giganta was a gorilla – the first transformed ape in the comics – who was transformed into a giant redheaded girl of truly Amazonic proportions – and the costume she wore in her first appearance was a Hollida College shirt and shorts.

ParticipantI just found my copy of the drawing again and it turns out that Gorgon named his boy Johnny while I named my boy Timmy. WHEW! What a relief.

ParticipantYou’ve given her a masculine surname. Being female, she should have an "a" suffix (pronounced "ah") at the end of the name; hence her last name should be Katalina Tromomskya.

ParticipantAye, that’s the one – the first volume of the Heroes of Phlan trilogy. I have two copies of it – I bought one new after my second hand copy – which I got at a used book store – began to fall apart.

ParticipantFor those of you who are confused, I was referring to the original POOL OF RADIANCE video game, not the more recent one, POOL OF RADIANCE II. This game has a cover that is also on the novel; it is from an old gamebook and shows a man with a two-handed sword in the process of slaying a copper dragon. He is blonde and blue-eyed and wears silver chain mail with brown leather gloves over the sleeves to protect his skin from the edges of the hilt of his sword.

ParticipantOh, I know the one you mean! Isn’t that the one where the lady scientist is infected by a genetically altered virus that she has injected into a rabbit?

ParticipantAdd ‘mother’ to the list and I’ll tell you! 🙂

ParticipantLooking at those clips made me recall the D&D novel , Pool of Radiance, based on the classic video game. In the novel, the mage Shal Bal (such a name!) grows to gigantic proportions after wishing to be stronger on a Ring of Three Wishes.[/i]

ParticipantYou’re right, folks – the story was inspired by Gorgon’s picture. But the dialogue and storyline were my own, based on my own personal experiences, except for the last two sentences, which are dialogue written by Gorgon. I’m sorry if this has caused any inconvenience for the man, whose work I greatly admire.

ParticipantIt is true that there is a picture on the Internet which features a boy named Tim, his sister and their parents. But the character Tim Molaur is indeed my creation, not the other artist’s – he never gave his "Tim" a last name.
