Anthony DurrantParticipant
It is. Thank you for your time, Fasola.
Anthony DurrantParticipantYou have to be actually at the site in order to look through the five photographs of Cameron Diaz as Madonna
Anthony DurrantParticipantI wonder if they were intending to use Batman and Robin originally for this cartoon, but couldn't get the rights and had to use Birdman instead. In any case, they could also have used the Golden Age hero, the Silver Streak, who had recently fallen into the public domain, according to my calculations.
Anthony DurrantParticipantI found the movie's original name at IMDB – it was MIA MOGLIE E UNA BESTA. In English, this translates roughly to "I was married to a Beast."
Anthony DurrantParticipantSome years ago there was a site at which I was able to see clips showing female muscle and strength that was listed in the Links area at Xtreme Strength (the listing is still there). Two of these clips were taken from an Italian movie called "I Married a Wild Beast" or something like that. It involves a cavewoman thawed out in the modern age; one clip shows the woman moving a car out of the way, and the other shows her breaking a store window to get a fur coat, which she is wearing when she comes back to her husband's house and fights off the two gangsters who are menacing him. That site has since closed and I have no idea where I can view those clips now. I do, however, remember that they included clips of a lady who did the voice for the main character of HEAVY METAL 2000.
Anthony DurrantParticipantAfter some thought, I should like to try again to describe what I saw Terry and Gisela Head perform that night back in 1980: As I recall it, Terry entered holding Gisela in his arms and pushing her along on her skates. He may have had some spoken lines, but if he did, I no longer remember. They were both facing the audience; Gisela raised her right arm and fell into Terry's arms (as can be seen by the picture in the program), as he mugged for the audience by opening his mouth wide open. After he set her on her feet, he turned to the audience, and she did a delightful series of pirhouettes before returning to her standing position, raising her left arm, and falling into his arms again. He set her back up on her feet, and then – if I am recalling this correctly – kissed her. The kiss was what finally set Gisela in motion in front of him for the first time,
and I believe their act climaxed with a brief figure skating duet; it was called "The Artist and the Alien."Anthony DurrantParticipantRather ridiculous, old chap.
Anthony DurrantParticipantWhen I typed in the url at the bottom of my copy of the drawing that inspired this story some time ago, I found that somebody had taken it out of his file – probably Gorgon himself. It's no longer available on the Internet.
Anthony DurrantParticipantThat "Spider Woman" episode was very much like an old Wonder Woman story, even to Spider Woman twirling around to change into her other identity and back. Could it have been written as an episode of the old live action WONDER WOMAN series?
Anthony DurrantParticipantThank you for the information – that first episode was quite enough for me.
