    I think for the HB shoot there definitely was a large light used,  but need Ling to confirm. The details may be secret…

    Secret? Like the Colonel's Seven Herbs and Spices? Unless Mike (E.?) invented photography, I hardly think his lighting set-up is proprietary information. I'm just fascinated by it all–I'm not gonna do anything with it. 😀

    that looks to me to be Bertil Fox.

    I can see a little of Fox's grimace, but I dunno, I'm still getting an Ashely vibe of the shape of that head! 😀 Since the physique is an exaggerated composition (not even "Black guys" were that huge in '87-88!), the face is probably an amalgam of photo ref and imagination, too.

    The one curling with the short barbell, I believe is Gary Strydom…

    See now, I would have said Berry DeMey with someone else's (better) haircut! (We're totally alienating people with this male bodybuilder-oriented topic drift…)

    The gal in the back w/ the blue bikini reminds me of Sherilyn Godreau.

    The look on the face of the male bodybuilder with red trunks is great. That's Lou Ferrigno's friend Franco Columbo. The blonde guy leaning on the fence was a biggie also, but his name slips my mind.
