ParticipantPardon me if I missed it, but how many dpi should my drawing be?

ParticipantWell, Tenebrae, this is "Fandom & Nerd Stuff" after all.

ParticipantThen you should be glad to know that JLA: New Frontier is a straight-to-video project and purely animated. The JLU cartoon did okay. No surprise since it's easier to believe in these heroes when they're animated.
For me, it's increasingly not (getting old?). It would help if we could see some DC-related animation that doesn't follow Bruce Timm or Butch Luckic's designs for a change, but that's up to the execs…
Beckinsale's character is a U.S. Marshal hunting down a killer in Anarctica.
She might be too pretty to play Carrie Stetko.

ParticipantMendes is fine–she's got the She-Hulk (and every other sexy white female character) juicy lips, if nothing else–and a decent actress, but do we really want another Jessica Alba-type hullabaloo (I always wanted to use that word in a sentence) for casting another popular white(ish) character role with a Mexican-American actress?
And Fasola, Cage is no schmoo, schmoe–whatever (I really wish you guys would drop that word into the crapper)–just a rich nerd/geek with a dash of freak.

ParticipantWith her short haircut, I had her confused with Natalie Benson…another stunner (oh, sweet Texas…;))!

Participant[glow=red,2,300]Joss Whedon is off the WW film![/glow]
I wouldn't be too relieved. Whedon is the one who kept saying that WW should be 'amazonic'. Producer Joel Silver is the one who wanted Sandra Bullock to star in it.
I think that a talented individual like Whedon could have made a good film of WW, but, in general, I think it's difficult for studios to accept that you can't churn them out like the cliched romantic comedies that clutter the cinema screens these days…
Art: 0 Commerce: -1
Hence, the result is dross, unless it's animated.
There's a new JLA animation in production. Lucy Lawless voiced WW…
Hackneyed casting. (Which is not to say that Lawless isn't–aurally and otherwise–delectable.)
Surely a much better way of bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen, don't you think?
I really have absolutely no interest in seeing a transmogrified WW on the big screen. I want to see 140-or-so pounds of living, breathing (digitally recorded) raven-haired beauty!
Based on the way they cast their female roles they're not going to cast anyone whom we may want. We would get lucky if it were Kate Beckinsale…
Don't get your hopes up guys.
Jon, I don't expect a much. I expect a brunette. I expect someone universally beautiful. I expect someone who can put sentences together. I concede the fact that WW will not have anything in the way of flexible muscle. I accept that. But the producers of a Wonder Woman film cannot…produce a waif and expect anyone (female muscle fan or detractor) not to laugh themselves out of the theater.

Participant…I've never come across the use of the word flailing (by which I presume you to mean self-flagellation) being used in conjunction with gnashing of teeth before…
No, no! I just meant waving your arms around in hysterical envy of Langer's spouse (with no relationship to teeth gnashing, other than having an indignant fit). This time. ;D
It's American misuse on my part, I think. We used it at home. No, we didn't use flails (grain-threshing staffs with an attached swinging bar), but we were known to flail, in other words, beat or swing something as if with a flail. :-X
As far as my use of the term Valkyric, (which I don't think exists, to my surprise; can't there be a word meaning "to have the properties or characteristics of a Valkyrie"?) I chose it because of Anja's other-worldly quality and her blonde, Aryan (don't panic – they were a race of people way before the hateful National Socialists became fixated on them – I am as anti-Nazi as anyone) looks seemed to suggest a link with Norse folklore (and great classical music) more than it did to more latin-influenced trains of thought and descriptive inspiration.
No, I get it–gentlemen prefer blondes. Do they ever. ;D

ParticipantAnyway – they don't all have to be big. I know that's heresy to some in this community, but sometimes (sometimes!) a more slender figure that's voluptuous with muscle is as attractive as all-out mass…
The former is more attractive to me than the latter–but this is one of the few places where even what many of us would describe as the bare minimum is accepted.

Participant…I've just accidentally discovered Anja Langer…
It's good that you're approaching this fandom from the "classics" (accidentally or otherwise)! I don't think there's ever been any female physique athlete with finer lines.
…after much wailing and gnashing of teeth at the fact that she's married already, I've decided that I'm still totally and helplessly in love with her anyway.
What, no "flailing"? Don't hurt yourself! ;D
To me, whether you look at photos of her from the late '80s or from the early 2000s, she looks to me every inch like a true, Valkyric goddess.
Not my area of expertise or usual point of reference for priapic reverie, but there's no denying greatness.

ParticipantWhat kind of Fatale images are you looking for, Renato? Most of the art is good, but nothing great (unlike Jones's current work).
