ParticipantI may write a very short story if I liked the concept but probably not. I've learned that working within a world created by another is quite difficult and often leaves me feeling aggravated.

ParticipantThe last time I tried posting them I did break them up. Each post I made was no longer then five or six pages. Of course this is rather frustrating as the stories I write tend to be hundreds of pages long.
The only other option I can think of is to start a new thread each time the number of pages posted hits thirty or something like that.
If you get that glitch, it means they're too long. Break 'em up into pieces – multiple posts. Also feel free to post them to Brawna.org.

ParticipantBlast it I give up! I just tried posting For Hire yet again and breaking up each post into 5 page long bits. After I hit the 40th page the forum went blank on me again.

ParticipantI personally feel that they are ways to balance things out without them having equal destructive abilities or endurance.
Anyway, the site of a super strong male just makes me want to switch over to one of my necromancer characters and make use of soul shatter.

ParticipantI use to be quite an active role player preferring D&D style systems as well as the world of darkness. However, as time went on the games I use to belong to dried up as people quit playing for one reason or the other.
With no other outlet for my creative energies and a head full of characters writing seemed like a good idea.
Of two worlds by Sketchbook and speaking with Blar of the gts depot also helped to get things rolling.

Participant1. You think he wants power over her. He doesn't she is a close friend that he seeks to help. He doesn't want to dominate her. That's hardly grounds to start a meaningful relationship after all. Where you got the idea that he wanted to dominate her I don't know.
2.He doesn't have the type of knowledge needed to modify her body. All he has in the beginning is knowledge enough to make temporary boost. He does learn that by using her blood he can make the effect last longer or stronger without changing the materials too much but that's it. Where you got the idea that he could permanently alter her body I don't know.
3. You assume that alchemy is rare in this setting. Now if you'd paid attention you'd read that he's a low ranking member of an alchemist apprenticed to a master in a small town. What does that tell you about the rarity of alchemy in that world especially the basic stuff?
I have no idea where you get the idea that alchemy would be an odd career path. Given that you can make healing potions, stamina restoratives, booster potions. You learn to make some crystalline items and refine some gems for mystic uses. Mages and warriors alike make tremendous use of alchemical items. In a mystic setting it's just about as essential as a black smith.
Fritz I don't want to be mean but your suggestions are pretty useless to me. I think you've taken the basic idea I gave took only the parts you liked, warped or left out many details and tried to make it into something you wanted to see. What you suggested is nothing like what I suggested. I'd say it's an entirely different creature.

ParticipantI can't say I know anything about Claymore so I can't say if what I came up with would be similar or not. The inspiration for the second idea was actually based on the methusala (not the correct spelling probably). Anyway, it's a group of vampires that are so old and powerful human blood won't sustain them anymore they have to feed on other vampires or werewolfs or a few other super natural critters.

ParticipantI haven't been through this entire thread yet but thanks for the web comics. I'm always looking for more amusing ones to read. I haven't read through the entire thing yet so I don't know if these have been posted yet but here are a few links with capable ladies in web comics.
http://www.mysticrev.com/
Lourdess and gothgirl are both something else.http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php
Agatha isn't much for melee combat but her mentor is something else. The female Jangers are also quite interesting if rather creepy to look at. Vonpin is nice.http://www.sluggy.com/
Has an amped up female assassin who's name I can't spell. She doesn't appear very often considering the life span of the comic but they are some stories with her in it. Good humerus ones to.Italy and Elsa are quite tough if not super human.
http://thelounge.comicgenesis.com/I really like Kate.
http://www.dynamanga.net/Short but quite enjoyable comic with one very strong lady. It can be found in the deviant gallery

ParticipantNice find, thanks for sharing.

ParticipantYes though I would have to first find the right woman. I'd most likely go with my wife and explain the situation to her first. I doubt she'd believe however I couldn't change her body in such a way without giving her some warning first and her agreeing to it. If she didn't agree to such a change then no I would. Of course I'd have to change myself.
As she's going to be twice as strong as me thus making me the base I'm going to have to start working out first. After all I want her to be as strong as possible. I'd want to at least make myself half as strong or 60% as strong as the strongest male on recover that way she'd be even stronger.
