Even an actress who can just dye her hair blonde is not enough.
Umm, why not? As long as she’s blonde what would it matter? Dyed or not, seems like it would make little difference.
Trying to look the part isn’t enough in playing the part. Jessica Alba and Kate Mara dyed their hair to play Sue Storm.
Alba and Mara’s failure as Sue Storm got nothing to do with thier dyed hair or contact lenses. They where bad because the scrip wasn’t good, the director didn’t get a good performance from them, and they aren’t that great actresses in the first place.
Truth is, as movie goers we don’t know how many time actors or actresses dye their hair or use a wig when their performance is good.
Which is why dying your hair doesn’t automatically qualify any actress to play the role. It’s not solely reliant on dressing the part.
I already posted my immediate concern for the script, which hasn’t been written yet. What does it matter which actress is interested in the part if we don’t know what the story is? What kind of heroine are they trying to give us? That’s more important than looks right now.

ParticipantIt’s just hype. I don’t know if Olivia Wilde even knows who Carol Danvers is, but we can be sure Marvel will not have a brunette play the part. Even an actress who can just dye her hair blonde is not enough.
I wish they’d finish writing the script. The overall plot concerns me the most.

ParticipantInstead of detailing Diana’s childhood, why not have a story about how Hippolyta establishes Themiscyira’s society after landing there? The focus would be on her, the other Amazons, and what they all faced to make their Paradise Island.

ParticipantIt sounds good for new fans. But it feels like the same concept as Smallville and Gotham. I don’t need to heavily know what their world was like before they became superheroes. The real challenges happen when they’re already super. Becoming the superhero is not the reward, it’s more like donning the magical garments the heroes wear to fight their foe.

ParticipantI knew it. DC Comics is a sticker labeling company. Their logo proves it.

ParticipantThe rumor going round is that Wonder Woman will be fighting Doomsday and she’ll cut his hand off.
Gee whiz! Why didn’t they just say he’s the villain? What are they thinking?

ParticipantI still have a comic book mentality of DC’s superheroes. Heath Ledger as different, but it wasn’t groundbreaking. I could already see tones of past Hollywood serial killers in his character. The problem was it kept changing from sadist, to masochist, planned, to random.
IMHO, the best clown villains you will EVER see is in the Spanish film “The Last Circus”!

ParticipantIt’s not as successful as J.M. Manion’s photos. But I hope this becomes a niche.

ParticipantOkay, I’m just going to throw this in here. If Asian Psylocke ever had more muscle she would look like Denise Paglia.
