ParticipantIf the movie flops that will only encourage movie studios to never take a chance on a heroine led film. I hate Wonder Woman, absolutely loathe her. But if we want to see BETTER action heroines in films, then this movie needs to succeed not fail.
I hate that expectation. It shows that fewer studios are willing to promote leading action heroines and thus stifle their creativity.

ParticipantAll the more reason to put a woman playing Wonder Woman in the gym
Linda Hamilton, Evangeline Lily, Jessica Biel,& Katee Sackhoff aren’t playing the most iconic fictional character in history but yet have biceps in their co-starring roles [/color]Linda Hamilton has bipolar disorder so it’s not sure thing what she went through in keeping that physique.

ParticipantI did not want to comment, but….
1) Assria is of Palestinian origin…you consider that Asian? That is the problem with race. Some are very hard to define. I noticed you posted Kislyak who is Russian but you left her out of here? I am not interested in a debate over what constitute Asian. Just point out it’s too vague. The Middle Eastern region was once considered a part of Asia long ago. I remember some Russian guy arguing over where the word “Asia” comes from but it’s believed that word came from the Middle East.

ParticipantAline Riscado is the second woman in the video, not the first one. Notice the tattoos on Aline’s left arm?

ParticipantDoes anyone know who the first woman is in this video?

ParticipantA different medium? They’ve already got TV shows, movies, animated cartoons, and video games. The medium isn’t the problem, it’s how they’re reaching their audience and what stories they’re telling. Besides something animated is infinitely more expensive than something illustrated for print.
Print is sadly not as popular as it used to be. And I find some of the ads closer to what you’d find in men’s magazines. Digital comics aren’t properly designed to fit into a screen so I find the experience less appealing. But If they wish to continue reaching out to an online audience they should develop more works to fit the screen. There was time decades ago when their cartoons where very short. Transformers: Combiner Wars was a series of shorts that worked well in its narrative, even if fans hated it. The plot and dialogue moves faster so a three-issue story could be told in six or eight short episodes.

ParticipantMaybe it’s time they use a different medium. I don’t know what the profits of online comics are, but it doesn’t take full use of the medium. A three minute animated clip of a series can spread faster than 15 pages of a digital comic.

ParticipantI haven’t read Marvel or DC for over a year now, except for what I find online. I actually prefer the Franco-Belgian way if it guarantees better artwork and cohesive storylines. But if the American serials do end, Marvel and DC will need to come up with a new approach to tell their stories.

ParticipantOkay. She’s alive and is apparently well. I saw an online video of her taking care of some dogs.
