ParticipantI've revisited my outer space ideas and came up with this new one:
It's far in the distant future. With humanity finally establishing inhabitable colonies in space they move to solve the overpopulation problem. Unforunately, one of drastic steps they take is denying most of those who left the opportunity to visit back.
About three generations have passed. Earth finds themselves now suffering for their extreme population plan. Women make up about 35% of the population on Earth. Most of them are middle-aged and above. So a new campaign is launched to promote young women from the other worlds to migrate back to the homeworld.
On one colony the people will eventually find themselves at odds with Earth's campaign. One group is a squadron of all-female soldiers. They are stationed near a town that an Earth ship is visiting. In that town is an all-girls school that was formerly a religious school. It's earned the reputation of educating the brightest students and leading athletes.
One student, along with the female soldiers, will later discover that Earth doesn't really want any women to migrate back to Earth. Their cultures have changed too much from Earth's. Instead, they realize Earth's ambassadors and doctors just want their DNA to clone their own women.

ParticipantI'm surprised that Beth Horn got the role instead. But I'm glad somebody we know got the role. "Fancypants" is still in production so we'll have to wait and see how she does in that.

ParticipantShe-Hulk #34 the Lady Liberators go to the aide of a quake struck Middle Eastern country. The women are much slimmer than Frank Cho's rendition, but they're still as tall. Thankfully, Invisible Woman isn't wearing that absurd skimpier outfit from decades ago.
I like the reasons this team gets together. But I don't agree with the political motives of opposing countries, like Russia and China. The Middle Eastern country has no oil or strategic value. Thus America stays away. But if that's the case, then what interests do Russia and China have there; why would they veto any U.N. resolution against the ruling dicatorship? Why would Russia send the Winter Guard if the country they have nothing to gain? After the Skrull Invasion, I'd imagine they'd keep them home to purge their own nation. If Russia and China value the Marinmer nation then America should be gaining a foothold too.

ParticipantOkay. I bought my copy of Hulk #7 (2008). Both Art Adams and Frank Cho are welcome pencilers to this two-story issue. In the Las Vegas story I love how Joe Fixit (Grey Hulk) leaped up to Moon Knight and brought him crashing down. I had imagined a wickedly similar scene between Ultimate Colossus and Goddamn Batman. Colossus' weight brings down a swinging Batman, snapping his batrope. Except, a double strike to the large opponent's ears doesn't work for Bats, especially since he's already pinned down by the weight. Then Ultimate Colossus headbutts Goddamn Bats with severe results. Bat's forehead is smashed in. Bravo victor!
In the Lady Liberators' story, Frank Cho spares no muscle and height in his female characters. Although, Art Adams did give Ms. Marvel some broad shoulders. We learn in the She-Hulk #34 that was the first time the Lady Liberators gathered under that incarnation. #34 takes place later.
While I like the gathering of these women, I do wish they had worn extra armor, because the Rulk briefing should have taught them to be more prepared. They didn't appear to have a strategy when they approached Rulk. They may be stronger than the average man, but I'm sick of how they keep losing round 1.
Also, since when was there a bar on top of Mount Rushmore? If that really existed drunks would be pissing over the side!Anyway, thanks to #34 we get the hint that they'll win. Others are bound to join the fight so Rulk will get the pounding he deserves.

ParticipantIf there was a printed magazine completely dedicated to women's bodybuilding and fitness, I'd subscribe to it. For now I'm reliant on the Internet. I don't think there can ever be a magazine that caters to both men and women. That would still end up favoring men's bodybuilding, indirectly creating negative views of women's bodybuilding. It's a real shame MDM is ending their coverage because I've learned there are many more women out there who do lift weights.
But bodybuilding in general is pretty much about getting stronger and building muscle mass. Like all sports there is a competitive progression towards 'more'. That's why today baseball players look like early football players. Some fitness and figure professionals now look like early female bodybuilders. And drugs have spread to other areas of sports.

ParticipantToo bad. Some people can't take the leap.
