ParticipantI wasn't completely impressed with Batman Begins. Unlike the zombies I didn't think the movie was groundbreaking for a superhero film. But I enjoyed it anyway.
Since I'm recovering from a week long illness and I work 6 days a week, you can bet I'm going to IMAX with my friends. I want a little fun on the big BIG screen! :-*
Now will this be better than meeting the Sacramento Dance Team and getting my picture taken with them? Let's wait and see.

ParticipantDon't forget Oliver Reed's performance in "Gladiator".
Godfather 2 and Heat aren't bad comparisons, but it doesn't convince me that it's the Batman that I enjoy most. I'm surprised how the audience responds more to the superhero who has no powers or truly high tech equipment.

ParticipantI'm not interested in Bay's view of Batman. He's an action director, not a mystery writer.

ParticipantIs there anything about Dark Knight that says it's good for kids?

ParticipantI was more excited in watching Hellboy 2. But it's coming out in August over here. I was impressed by Nolan's work, but it didn't convey the brilliant detective work that I like about Batman.
Still, this week "Warlords" is coming, starring Jet Li. Now that's a film I want to see. None of the superhero films I've seen lately convey brotherhood anymore. You won't even find it in the Justice League.

ParticipantOoowaaaah!

ParticipantHave no fear, just know this: In Hollywoodland, desperation is the norm, being that any and all ideas will eventually bear fruit as movie scripts are not limitless and, sooner or later, we will see not only the Sensational She-Hulk, but also Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and even the omnipotent POWERGIRL herself, make it to the big screen. If they are turning out such drivel as Hancock and My Super Ex, you KNOW they are clutching at straws. It is only a matter of time before they turn to the tried-and-true and we can only hope that they are able to come up with decent scripts and actresses to fill the role(s).
I welcome a family-friendly, comedic superhero flick. But I do want a decent superheroine in a lead role. The possibility of a She-Hulk cameo is stronger now that Banner's blood has proven so powerful. But is it better to just have her manifest as a cameo, or give her a supporting role in any future sequel?

ParticipantMy, my. What a startling turn of gossip. Is it easier to believe in sports conspiracy or in domestic violence? Is the same system that committed treason and dropped Valerie Plame also responsible for killing a rat – who already begun spilling the beans? Magic bullets and pointing fingers.

ParticipantThat was hilarious! 😀

ParticipantGreat idea. I'm sorry I haven't made anything new myself. I've been employed full-time for a month now. But I'm still sorting out my free time to go back to the art desk. I've got list of celebrities I want to buff up. But right now my work has to come first.
