ParticipantActually Debido I can do something like that. There's usually a few methods I like to use to draw inspiration in preparation for drawing that I could easily put into words. I'll remember to include that in the tutorials.

ParticipantI am sorry, KtM, but IMHO this one looks too masculine. Too angular and squared at the shoulders for me… with the cloak and cowl in her civilian mode, I thought she was a GUY.
In defense of my work, I'm not here to perpetuate the stereotype that the female figure is purely defined by a 'huge knocker, round face and pointy chin' look. I chose to draw her in an angular fashion to portray a battle hardened look outlined by a strict and stiff posture and emphasized by very angular and hard edges. Being a one trick pony that uses only one face shape with different eyes and hair is what I'm very much trying to avoiding. If experimenting with your craft and trying out different things is wrong then hey I don't want to be right. 😛

ParticipantIt's essentially a 'free preview' of sorts for guests, just to show them what they can expect to see when they sign up for the forums. You can add images by going to the 'Profile' section on the toolbar at the top and there will be a profile display. When you click on the 'Gallery' tab, you can add pictures of your own. I've yet to do it for my stuff but I'm going to try to get my stuff in there soon.

ParticipantIt seems to me to be a thought she had, written more like you'd find in a sci-fi story (seriously, I can imagine a story where they claim the Japanese are Martian off-shoots using this kind of 'evidence' to back their claim). While it's… immature and ill-thought, I wouldn't've thought it's meant to be racist.
You do put up a good point Fett. I do think that a conspiracy theory on how the Japanese had Martian heritage would be interesting, kind of like The Da Vinci Code. Where the story could have things on how their body types have inherint qualities of Martians (ie. the almond shaped eyes and naturally thin body shape), their advances in technology coupled with Y2K was a Martian plot for a mass takeover, or that their methodology of writing has some cryptic nature. If her story was something of that nature I can honestly say I wouldn't be as angry with it as I am now.
If it had some concise form of evidence that backs the claim, I would have been fine with it. The Da Vinci Code didn't piss me off as a Christian (with us notoriously getting pissed off at everything these days 😛 ) because it had some valid evidence backing it, although some of it was incorrect. To me at least, this 'story' seemed to be just an elongated version of the statment 'I don't think the Japanese are human and I base this on absolutly nothing.' That and the fact she's shown prior open disdain for the Japanese leads me to believe it has some prejudicial nature.
But mostly I'm just pissed that DA won't remove this despite being a clear violation of bigotry (which is clearly listed in the submission policy), yet they remove works of friends of mine when they are in no way a violation of the submission policies.

ParticipantThe person above me believes he can turn himself into a goat that likes vanilla more than chocolate and wears a pixie costume. 😛

ParticipantThe only complaint I'm making is that there isn't enough images of this lovely lady. 😛

ParticipantIf you actually detest me, Kiss, I think you need to close the browser and go outside.
Of course, I should post under Strawberrymuffinman. Then you'll apologize for me being abraisive, right?
Don't even try the 'StrawberryRiddick got better treatment than me' crap. It didn't work last time, and it won't work now.
This forum put up with StrawberryRiddick's actions because:
1. She was a content provider.
2. Her actions were a response of hostility towards having people react like fans to photos of herself rather than provide her with serious critiques like she wanted.
3. She never made direct attacks towards individuals unless she was provoked into doing so.
You frequently roam around this forum providing it with nothing but rude comments without apology, at the same time believing you have any and every right to do so despite even being warned by the forum administrator himself. Your rudness was even the cause of an artist on the forum leaving simply because you didn't like the way he drew faces and decided to attack him about it. Muffin Man, you have yet to make a single positive addition to this forum and that is why we treat you the way we do. You are in no way similar to StrawberryRiddick in your actions. The only people comparable to you are Androxi and Plakkar, both of whom ended up being banned from the forum. If you want better treatment, treat everyone else on this forum better.
And don't bother responding on this thread unless it's a positive message of gratitude towards Jon Davis's wonderful work. Like he told you, shut up.
Edit: I repeat, don't bother responding. If you want to bitch and whine about things being unfair, take it up on another board.

ParticipantIt will definitly vary from artist to artist on how wide to make the hips. Usually some people say to make them as wide as the shoulders or sometimes wider. But because we are dealing with muscle women here it becomes a problem. What I generally like to go by is the ribcage. This is a matter of my tastes, but I usually make the hips in the range of 1/4 to about 1/2 times wider than the ribcage. Hope you find that helpful.

ParticipantSeems to be working for me, thanks Atari!
