Strangely enough, I hadn't noticed that before, but you're right, ze fly, she is indeed looking straight through the wall from the 2D to 3D world.  In fact, the look in her eyes reminds me of a young Joan Jett in some of the videos that Lingster's linked to – that knowing, sexy yet enigmatic, intense look. 🙂 8)

Looks like "Krieger Frau", but with blond hair instead of black.  She was retconned into existence during the 70s.  She was a scientist working on a Nazi equivalent to super-soldier process.  The experiment blew up in her face, but naturally gave her serious superpowers.

Seriously: I do like the new look.

I'm glad.  I have used the red text on white before.  I prefer it slightly, but for the front page I'm leaving it as-is, at least for now.  I made some changes to the front template a few months ago, to make it cleaner and whiter.  I've also done my own mods on it that vary from the stock version I bought.

You were not the only one with the problem.  The whole thing stemmed from moving the site to a new webhost last year, and there were some issues with the way I had installed the software during the move. 

So I basically took about eight hours over the weekend, updated everything to the latest versions and then made sure that everything was configured properly.

Now we've got a better, cleaner, faster-loading site, so it was worth the trouble.  I still have one last bit of work to do to really speed up performance, but that will have to wait until next weekend.

The weather girl is Mary Gamarra – it's kind of a running theme for US-based Spanish-language networks to have outrageously sexy weathergirls.  The fitness instructor I can't identify.  She seems to be on Telemundo's Cada Dia very often, but I can't locate her name anywhere.  She is very foxy, though.
