The bottom line is that there are glitches that result from embedding a Simple Machines Forum installation under a Joomla installation.  The problems that result are beyond my coding ability to fix, so I report them up to the guy who writes the "bridge", something he does without financial gain, and when he's able he corrects the issues.  Then he releases new versions, and I implement them.  But that's the pacing and the correction path.

It's free software.  Upside beats the downside ten times out of ten.
