I got them before they posted.  Their IPs and email domains are all in a public forum spammer database.

Not right away.  But eventually, yes.

@Devon – I tried this in February 2008 but failed.  I wound up having to back out all the changes because it wouldn't function.  The site was down for three days and when I reopened the only thing that had changed was the template, which is the same one we have now. 

The goal is to implement features that make the site a bit more like Facebook or deviantART.  I won't roll them all out at once, but I will have a new forum application and an upgrade to Joomla 1.5.

One small drawback is that everyone will probably have to do a password reset.

Thanks.  Back up as of an hour or 90 minutes ago.  I've just added Brawna to the paid account I keep that notifies me when a site goes down, so from now on I'll get a text message when Brawna is unavailable for more than 15 minutes.
