He was actually worried about the lights.  I saw someone dodge a falling, large light once and it was pretty damned terrifying.  If that light had fallen on her, there'd be no more Jessica Biel.

I've been using it for over two years for other purposes.  I set up an account for Amaz0ns – http://twitter.com/Amaz0ns – last month after Rejaw announced it was going under. 

For me it's a shorthand blogging technique.  If I see something interesting but don't feel like committing the ten or fifteen minutes to writing a full post, I throw it out on Twitter.
