Probably the wrong place to introduce myslef, so
I'll make it quick. I've been around in various guises… actually no, just names since the Big Mouthera and I'm back this time to just talk, I'm a good boy I am, I promise.
I've just read this thread through and can't help but think of the hypocrisy (and I include myself) that is breeding here. Personally I had joined said forum in the recent past and was banned in what seemed like hours for posting support in a thread that objected to how it operates. I'm probably wrong, but it might have been Rick who started the thread. So no big loss, I really didn't like the site.
But who here hasn't watched a video on say, Dailymotion, that the poster didn't have rights to? I'm guessing none of us.
I understand that this is, in an odd manner…well… political, and also affects those who spend the time, effort and money. Which in turn short changes those who are genuine consumers of a prefectly legitimate product.
So why aren't we infuriated to the point of vocal opinion over every other kind of piracy? Or are you?
Did I go too far?

I oppose it mostly for a practical reason: too much piracy stifles new content production.  Sawadas has made too much of a spectacle of itself – too much attention is focused on it and its owner.  My prediction is Sawadas will be gone soon.

Couldn't add any new replies to the older thread, so I've started a new one.  Hopefully, once Lingster resolves the posting glitch, I'll be able to remerge the previous Power Girl commissions threads.

There isn't any fixing it – I have to swap out the whole app with a new one.  I dread doing it – looking at 20 hours of work and no guarantee of success.

I don't know what Growth Comics is going to be.  I won't rule out ever launching a paysite there, but for right now let's see how the sponsorships do. 

I'm working on two multi-page comics right now to add to the site.  One is BE, the other is a combination of BE, height and FMG.  For right now I'm using Thickbox to display them, which is javascript, but I may switch to one of the flash viewers down the road.

The important thing about these comics – and I encourage anyone planning on doing webcomics to keep this in mind – is that they will be landscape aspect.  That means wider than tall, just like the computer screens most people will use to view them.   There is no point to doing webcomics in traditional comic book format.  I expect the comic publishers to begin putting the staples on the short end of the books within a few years in recognition of this reality.

Creepy.  Hard to say because we don't know what the reporter left out, but based on what she didn't mention it seems the mother completely missed the problems with exhibitionism and sexualizing a 10-year-old.
