missmonstermusclesParticipant
Yes. I saw this "thing" first at http://fbbtv.blogspot.com/2009/10/androgynous-caroline-wang.html, and got sick to my stomach. I don't care what anyone here has to say of me. My moniker is "luvmuslgirls"! That is, women. If this was the direction women's bodybuilding took off to in the beginning, I would never have come here or any website presenting it.
It appears to me that some of you folks are liv'in in a HOUSE OF GLASS…lol
missmonstermusclesParticipantThe_Collector_2 your reply is filled with anger and resentment, which I will not address.
missmonstermusclesParticipantI guess what bothers me the most about this kind of freakfest is that an image like this backs up a mistaken notion held by some guys who prefer the conventional female form…..
….Having to contend with that kind of ignorence and closed-mindedness is the only thing I have in common with a gay dude, but having Caroline in a contest with the kind of hotties I adore can only searve to increase the shmoephobia of mainstream society.
Personally I think what you're saying here is that, even though Bodybuilding is a sport, female bodybuilding should objectify woman as "sexual objects" and NOT athletes.
missmonstermusclesParticipantIf it's really supposed to be a non-gender sport, then they should just simply call it BODYBUILDING. If it's going to be specifically for females then it should be FEMALE BODYBUILDING. Those (women) should compete in male bodybuilder shows instead. I doubt they have any breasts left to cause a stir.
As you may know, the majority of FEMALE bodybuilders these days have corrective surgery ;
Breast Implants/
QUESTION: are Breast Implants the devise used to make woman's bodybuilding more feminine?If so .. that would be sending out a message to all women who want to compete in the sport of bodybuilding…
" excel in bodybuilding as much as you like, just as long as you have a doctor surgically alter your physique with 2 breast implants…just so you don't confuse anyone".
Bodybuilding is full of double standards, purely on the fact that it's an exhibition sport.
Personally I think human genetics are taking a HUGE leap forward and all nay sayers are holding the sport of bodybuilding back. Ya know… it was less then 30 yrs ago when everyone said Bev Francis was a dude too and she's regarded ( at least in my book) as a tail blazer in the sport of Bodybuilding!
missmonstermusclesParticipantI believe , personally, that over the last 20yrs bodybuilding has become a non-gender specific sport .
Bodybuilding has always been an EXHIBITION sport, it's a popularity contest , the winners are chosen by judges.If you've seen female football players dressed in uniform , would you say that they look too masculine to qualify as female? The uniform fits the sport, it's not gender specific.
The interesting thing about Caroline Wang is that she has female genitalia , which by most medical standards would qualify her as female. However by current "popular taste" she appears too masculine to qualify her as female.
So now who's actually qualified to be a judge in the sport of bodybuilding;
.. a gym owner, a business sponsor, a fellow sport's person or a medical doctor?missmonstermusclesParticipantGreat to see this heated debate.
Here's another photo of Caroline Wang, this time she's standing next to another competitor.
It appears to me that they're being judged not only by their physiques but by their haircuts ? Just a theorymissmonstermusclesParticipantThis is sport is full of DOUBLE STANDARDS , when judging Female Bodybuilders.
Does anyone ever critique genetically male bodybuilders as being attractive or not. . Personally, I think not.
Most male bodybuilders are judged by their muscularity , not their attractiveness .missmonstermusclesParticipantA few YOUTUBE vids
