They are both the same height and he is a highschool senior. Cuban I would imagine is a smart enough guy to know the facts. So the only conclusion is that he is doing this for hype and I hope she is smart enough or that those who surround her are smart enough not to pursue this as she will highly sought after in the wnba. It makes me sad that Cuban would willfully do this (unless he is sincere).

I agree, this is just for hype. She is a big girl, playing a center position against much smaller women and she uses a smaller ball. She is not going to be able to be a post player, and given her play-type, she will be too undersized to do that in mens NCAA basketball, let alone the NBA. She I don’t think would even be able to play with some high school boys. Check out Andrew Wiggins for example, and he is shorter than her.

I used to play basketball with a girl during summer courses during college. She was 6’5″ to my 6’2″. Not that much taller than me but she was and had a longer reach. She played D1 basketball and I got cut from my high school team ( I was a better martial artists anyways ;)). It would be close when we played horse or around the world, but she never beat me when we played one on one. She could not handle the physical difference is all.

But this brings up and interesting point though. We are always told about gender equality and how women should be able to play in mens programs. If it was truly equality, then would it not go both ways? At least that’s what we are taught in math class.

I agree. Bc even in the comic she does not have a buzz cut but rather dreads like you say. But regardless, I am happy that at least we get something of this nature on the big screen. Who knows, if she does well maybe this can pave the way for other opportunities for her and others. Well, we can at least hope.

For my tastes she looks “better” with dark hair. I found Fabiola attractive with blonde hair, I just find her more attractive now. I felt the same way with Alina Popa. I found her to be impressive but I really did not like the blonde hair on her. But when she went to the dark side, oh my….all bets were off. 🙂

And just for the record, I have no preference when it comes to hair color. I just think for my tastes some people look better with certain hair colors.
