Yeah, I was lucky enough to have WPW at my local grocery store. I always wondered how they came to the decision of ordering it on a monthly basis. Other magazines of a fitness nature had some workouts or tips but WPW was full of pictures and information about the ladies. I was not complaining at all, just curious.

I also remember back in the day waking up at ungodly hours to catch the female bodybuilding coverage as it would show at weird times. Also, waking up early in the morning to watch Kiana Tom and her friends workout on tv, wishing to live on that beach. B)

I remember those days. I used to be a little embarrassed about it in my youth. Not anymore, as people around me know of my fondness of muscular women. But I went in with a plan. Whenever somebody questioned me I used to say that I was supposed to get examples of disproportionate physiques for art class.

I would say you know the hourglass figure, blah blah blah. And they would be like oh yeah, these women don’t have that, this is a good example, lol.

my gf is really into fitness so I now get to go with b&n or borders etc and go through mags with her. But before the prevalence of content on the internet, WPW saved me.

I can gladly say I am a proud owner of JLA #90. While the story is ‘whatever’, boy does it have some awesome imagery, especially in the beginning.

I have seen here videos on youtube as well. Do an image/video search for a Susana Spears. Warning they will probably be NSFW. I prefer the new direction she is taking.

Some of her videos on youtube have her husband with her. I have always been curious if they have been together from the start or if they met after she got into fitness.

Its for the slide and I have scene it a couple times. I think the Fbb is Nikki Fuller. I can’t find it either. The website only has the previous ad and has not been updated to have the new one.

I thought it was cool because the fbb was not portrayed as a freak or a bad thing. At least one of the two guys didn’t mind her. If I find it I will post it.

Like I wrote in the other thread, I am not a big fan. By the same token I don’t subscribe to any comics so its not like this will really affect me. I just think she looks more like Black Canary minus the fish net stockings. I don’t mind change, I am just not a big fan of this look.
I find it amusing that the suspension of disbelief for some readers did not come into the fray when wondering how she stayed in her costume. It is a comic after all. Tossing a tank into the moon by an Amazon goddess in a comic is totally understandable but not the fact that she can stay tucked in, lol. That somehow is way too implausible.
I hope it does not last but we shall see.

I don’t like it. We can no longer see her muscular arms or legs. I understand why they are doing it but by the same token I don’t read comics and judge them against reality or practicality. Hopefully this is just temporary.

I also thought that her previous chest plate was just not a strapless top but rather a piece of armor made by Hephaestus. I wonder if they are going to talk about where that went at all.

I think you have proverbially nailed it Mimi. I think the only way a ‘true’ WW film will be done, and by that I mean to our satisfaction, will be on the fan film front. For a WW to be truly great for me they would need to find a woman who can physically impose but also who is feminine and can act. Possible? yes. Plausible? I am not so sure. Also Hwood has to think of marketability. I think our desires are in the minority when it comes to how WW should look when compared to the general public. There may be a writer, director and producer that may feel the same way as us, but it is ‘the powers that be’ that will decide the direction. And when money is involved, mass marketability is what counts. So I am content with my animated movies for now.

I hope that FoG can deliver.
ps- One of us needs to win a huge lottery and make this film, our way, lol.
