ParticipantYeah, sure, I 'd like to contribute something to the art galleries (since I only used the forum yet). Any idea how to do that? Do I need recommendations?
You did see where this is over a year old. The deadline is long since passed.

ParticipantI know this looks like a POV shot, but I wonder why The Invisible Girl looks really tall.

ParticipantDoes anyone remember a little boy a few years back that was doing the same thing.
I think they even showed part of his training and show posing on the news.
As I wrote this I did a search.

Above is an artical on it. (No pics.)
So……..is this in the same area of concern?

ParticipantThe link below has a longer artical with more info.
There is also a picture of the girl (not) in contest clothing.

ParticipantSummertime in New York. The livin's easy but the Softee is a-prowlin'.
What the ???????

ParticipantThis is why I said I think we should get all the facts before making judgement.
They didn't supply photos or go into detail about anything.
Like some here have said. The article seemed to be made short and sweet to grab attention.

ParticipantI believe the bad angle is the skimpy swim suite and being 10 tears old on a stage showing her body.

ParticipantI want to point out a couple more things that are in my head about this.
With all the kids that sit around with a game controller in their hands weighing 30 or more pound above what they should. It is kind of nice to hear of one that wants to be in shape.
Have we seen a picture of her stage-wear? Is this in the same area as Miley Cyrus and her Vanity Fair pics?
Have you ever seen some of the grown up ways some mothers dress their kids for pagents or acting jobs?
I think we should all study this more before any of us pass judgement.

ParticipantI really don't want to seem rude, but is it too much to ask to read the linked article before passing judgement? The mother did categorically state that no weights were used.
I still consider it wrong, though. Perhaps not so much from the sexualisation perspective but from the body image/narcissistic viewpoint. Presumably this girl had to diet in order to show the muscle she had.
How do you know I didn't read the article and that I'm just making a general comment on children and any hard training.
I may have made a poor choice of terms but meant to point out many activities that are not for children.
I've been around here on this board for a while. I usually don't speak out about things unless they make me concerned about an issue.
Sorry if it came out wrong.
