They refer to it as “promo art”, so…maybe I misread? I hope so!
Again, it’s not the build, how much skin is shown or the details of the suit, it’s the presence the actor/actress can give to the character – check out artist Nebezial ‘ s rendition of WW. Almost fully covered, but that’s Diana allright.

He draws her and other superheroines wonderfully. Check his gallery.

This is an awesome image that really sells the picture. Done by Jeremy Roberts in his DeviantArt page.

Yes, those were the mannequins I was trying to put a link to, but the pictures were close ups. I made a Photobucket account to make life easier 😉 Sadly, I didn’t keep the Supes and Batman ones.

    Now those are decent arms.

Here are the official costumes in broad daylight (sorry, the image linker is messing with me; if anyone can fix it…I’ll be grateful) :pinch:

I assume the WW’s mannequin is an exact replica of GG’s…even down to her acting skills

It’s tough to be a superhero when 2/3 of your costume cannot be padded.

    And the boys:

So, a just-Sheeri spinoff then? I hope everything goes well. I’m sure you’ll make a hell of a work. Best of luck…and let’s see those seams burst!

She’s going to need a lot of extra robes, I assume.

Hence “rings a bell…”. I was trying to say “sounds familiar” 😛 I know that’s Ann O’Brien, and she too developed powers after an interdimensional portal accident of sorts. I tried to find the pages when she gradually finds herself getting bigger and stronger every day, but I couldn’t. :pinch:

This new non-Kara, non-Kryptonian, just-in-name Power Girl has an interesting origin story: she (gradually) developed her powers after standing too close to an interdimensional portal.

    Rings a bell…

In my humble opinion, I think most people are overestimating WW’s role as “difficult” or “complex”. It’s a comic book character, and since it’s a “she”, take for granted her popularity is 90% looks. A regular actress can pull the part nicely. I think the character should be treated as the “fish out of water” one – a old styled warrior in the modern world -, basically like a female Thor (speaking of which, no one complained about Chris Hemsworth’s acting skills – he’s blonde, buff, the costume kinda matches, and they made him do superstuff: we have our Thor, people).

Speaking of looks, yeah, I must agree with many: she has the facial beauty, but she doesn’t look like a warrior, and I don’t mean she doesn’t have a huge bosom , a wide back or enormous biceps…she just doesn’t look the part. And don’t give me the classic “Oh but she was a soldier in the Israel Army she could kill you from three blocks away she knows how to operate all weapons in existence she can chop your head and braid your guts before you could even notice Krav-Maga Krav-Maga Krav-Maga!” rant…by that logic, Marlon Brando became a Mafia boss, Tom Cruise learnt to fly jet planes, Robin Williams got a degree in Psichiatry and Heath Ledger became an insane bomber terrorist to prepare for their roles.

The only hope we can cling to is…Grace Jones in Conan the Destroyer. Remember her?

She didn’t rely on mass, she was mostly slender, but her attitude and expression could scare the soul out of anyone. That woman looked like a berserker cannibal in that movie.

Hell, she could be a severed head, and enemies would still run away.

Maybe Hollywood (or whoever casted her), should’ve called Kristina Vassilieva‘s trainer: she also was a (very) thin model, and look at the difference two years of training (and commitment) made.

    Same girl.

Hi, Doc! Long time fan here; did a fanart for Polymer City Chronicles a few years ago (the one with the cgi buildings background, don’t know if you remember).

I’ve been Reading on DA that maybe you’ll return to the comic; perhaps a reboot of some kind? Can’t hardly wait…I’ve always liked your clean style and your characters.

Can I say something about the revamped designs? I’ll go out on a limb on some, but believe me I say this with nothing but admiration for your work:

Andrah: I prefer the noseless version of her; she really looks like an alien and not like a blue skinned (ubermuscular) woman. Besides, you always managed to give her a serene, calm expression that contrasted heavily with her obvious physical power…this face is even more suited for that.

Sheeri: okay, I believe I’m the 0.01% out there 😉 , but I don’t like her hulking out. Why? Because you already have a supermuscular female character: Andrah. I’d leave the hulking sequence to her, as some kind of “Ultimate Mode” for her “living weapon” status. If I remember correctly (it’s been some time), Sheeri was brought to the crew as eyecandy, and I’d keep her that way: in her usual priestess robe, with occasional hints and peeks at a (hot, extra hot, super hot) body underneath it. You know, the classic money shots, behind-shower-curtains scenes, the usual. Maybe someday someone discovers that… what do you know, she’s unbelievably fit. “You know, I’ve been working out…”

Anyway, enough meddling and playing editor. Congratulations on your talent, and thank you a thousand times for giving us more samples of it. Can’t wait for the relaunch of the comic (if it ever happens…), and I’ll be more tan glad to do some fanart.
