Amazing calves!
pelourinhoParticipantInteresting story!
BUT….
Is this not the opening part to a LOT of horrors movies and post doomsdays story lines!
I was thinking that as I read. This could either be a premise for a Brawna story, or horror flick. Either way, it has my attention.

That just has too many variables from one body to the next. As to the first question, though, I’m probably less enamored of biceps as I was once upon a time. I like overall thickness, not just one specific body part. But if I like one body Parr more than another, it’s probably more thighs and calves than parts above the equator.
As for trends in showbiz types, arms can be shown off easily and they catch the eye, so that might be the appeal.
Woman Arm Muscle, How Important Are They To You??
A lot of woman now a days, are gaining muscle in there arms (actress, TV talk show host, singers etc.) When you see woman that only have muscle in there arms and they rest of them are pretty flabby. Does that take away from the whole package or add something to the whole package?
A subset question here on muscle arms:
Woman that are muscular overall. How important are muscle arms to you? Since they are the easiest part of the body to build muscle on. Do you say they are nice, but how the rest of her, etc??
pelourinhoParticipantI think this Jimmy Olsen portrayal serves three purposes:
1. He bridges with the established Superman universe.
2. I think his pov in this story is meant to be the way we are supposed to see it. He not only knows Superman, but that he is an alien with a nondescript alter-ego living like a regular shnook. So he’s like an audience surrogate in hinting how Kara can navigate a similar setup.
3. He’s familiar enough even to casual fans, but not so consequential that you have to make a big ta-doo about casting him.If the series sticks, you can always get rid of him, which I wonder if it’s part of the plan. Positing him as a possible love interest may not be the route you or I would go, but I guess the point of this decision is to present a character that the audience at least knows, and can root for or against him as a potential partner.
Since this version of Supergirl implicitly takes place an unspecified number of years after Clark Kent has established a reputation as a journalist, and Superman is already famous and mostly admired around the world, it’s safe to assume that Jimmy is older now, no longer the teenage doofus who keeps almost getting himself killed so that Supes can save him. I guess he could now be featured as the sorta creepy older guy who keeps getting almost killed so that Kara can save him, but I could understand if that’s not the preferred direction of a big-budget primetime show.
I assume that adaptations like this of Supergirl are offered for an audience that either has never heard of her, or better yet, has forgotten about the 1984 movie version. Then again, Helen Slater has a role, which seems like it would defeat the purpose.
I doubt Kara will figure into any future big screen iterations of the DC-verse, so this series might serve as a testing ground for some plot and character concepts that the suits at Warner can refer to in future Superman/JL projects.

Everything is fine by me literally except for Jimmy Olsen portrayal
why is Kara’s nerdy friend more jimmy Olsen than guy playing James Olsen
Also why does Jimmy Olsen have complete knowledge of Kal-EL is Clark who is Man Of Steel
they really don’t need 1 of the guys vying for her affections&the ADULT love interest of a girl plays creepy so far
YES,..i know she is legal in this universe but he just comes off as guy who is thinking WOW I may finally get to sleep with Superman because their is a female version of him nowpelourinhoParticipantDayum :woohoo: ! How much do I dig them legs?
pelourinhoParticipantI think Guardians of Galaxy demo started that you can have actual featured characters in heavy CGI. Now if Marvel cuts corners maybe an enhanced could look crummy. Good news is since Disney has grabbed the helm, there has mostly been a baseline of competent execution in Marvel properties.
What do you people think a CGI she hulk ,do you think it would work? opinions please 🙂
Casting one is not an issue, but finding one who can play, that’s another matter, because on the contrary of her cousin, there would be more than an angry mode to play.

pelourinhoParticipantYes!! Thank you! I knew this scene looked familiar for some reason. Even Tanya’s slightly befuddled facial expressions sorta look like Anne O’Brien’s.
Here.
This is from the Dark Horse Monkeyman and O’Brien Special.

pelourinhoParticipanti don’t care if shes 50. i would marry her today. she is seriously sexy.
She is my!
Verily! Young women can be beautiful, but the ones over 40 are sexy.
pelourinhoParticipantI hate to burst your bubble, but I believe “mia nipote Gina” is just Italian for “my niece Gina.”
pelourinhoParticipantI saw it once upon a time. It wasn’t very good, but an interesting idea. Part of the problem was, in those days, even hard core fbb’s weren’t very impressive, as in, of you saw a rache mclish or Lori Bowen of those days in street clothes, you wouldn’t guess she lifted weights. GP would be a pretty good premise if any small time filmmaker would remake it as a trashy Lifetime movie. That’d be pretty cool.
