Actually that's a question I struggle with a lot when writing a story.  I'm not a fan of the violent amazon archetype in FMG fiction.  I like the woman to show some humanity and, as part of the fantasy, I want her to appear attainable.  If there is a boyfriend or husband in the story, the male partner embodies the author's attitude toward female sexuality.

I don't think it's that big a mystery.  It appears that was Rita Kaya.

6/  The mysterious Rita is hot full-stop (or should I say "period"?), but for a granny she's incredible (blimey, I sound like Wayne Rooney).

I have to admit that I wasn't a fan of She-Ra as a kid, but looking back on it, the series had some good ideas and penciling, just poor execution.  Still, that saga would be an excellent choice to remake, because it had enough fans who would watch for nostalgia's sake, yet there were enough possibilities that a talented team could really improve on the original concept.

The problems with the original were that Filmation was terrible at animation, even though I liked the character renderings.  Also, because it operated in the 1970's and 80's, what I consider a dark period for animated features, the stories ranged anywhere from amateurishly predictable to syrupy.  Again, this lack of unrealized potential makes it a perfect franchise for further development.

On that note, does anyone know why She-Ra isn't more popular in fanfic circles?  Just wondering.

That drawing style looks a lot like Sergio Aragones of Mad Magazine.

    My Favorites:

    Musclegirl by Puppetman
    Ransom by Hatour
    Vengeance by Tom Adams
    My Fantasy Girl by SixPack
    Sara Elliot by anonymous

There are lots more, but if I have to limit it to 5 these would be them.

Hi Jed.  I've seen your work before.  Big fan.  Glad to see you still have the inspiration.

I don't mind taking a crack at translating it if you post it.
