Okay I don’t know what happened to my post but, I believe you guys are correct and that it is Betsy Russell.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betsy_Russell

Look at the teeth between the two photos and you will see that they match. Wikipedia also confirmed that it was Betsy Russell.

However, I do have to remind you guys not to be deceived by muscularity on arms that are outstretched. Any woman who is not fat, that stretches out her arms will look like she has biceps. My girlfriend doesn’t lift weights, but when she stretches or puts her arms behind her head, I can see muscle definition on her arms.

But yes, it has to be Betsy because the two photos match up pretty well. Always try to match up the teeth if you can, that’s why they go for dental records! 😀

    TC2,

A few low resolution photographs are hardly adequate for forensic dental identification. While I admit that I did not look at the teeth, I looked at many other characteristics. While nothing was conclusive in my mind, Betsy Russell does appear a good match until I compare muscle size and muscle tone.

Your argument for arm angle just isn’t strong enough. I didn’t just start looking at musculature yesterday.

You’ve always been a well reasoned person and held others to a high standard of argumentation. I am doing the same now.

It would be easy to dismiss it as being Betsy Russell and move on. If it turns out to in fact be Betsy then I will be impressed and will want more pictures that show off her muscle.

But as it stands now, I am not seeing adequately reasoned explanations nor am I seeing irrefutable photographic evidence.

You claim that Wikipedia confirms it is her. Where? I mean *precisely* where? I viewed the article and found nothing there that was not already on imdb. I have already stated that she is a cast member in the movie. The question is not if Betsy Russell is in the movie, the question is what actress is pictured in the screen capture.

I hate gore-for-gore “horror” movies, but I may just need to go suffer through Saw 3D in an effort to learn the answer to my question…. which I don’t expect to pan out since I still doubt that they will have that scene in the actual movie. I’m pretty sure they filmed it just for the teasers and trailers.

Are you sure that isn’t Betsy Russell?

    No, I’m not sure.

Based on facial characteristics, particularly the way that the eyebrows are sculpted, my hope had been that it was Betsy Russell. But I just cannot find any photographs of Betsy showing her arms that depict enough muscularity to support that correlation. I did a Google image search this time before replying, and the difference in muscle is just too great. The only way it could be Betsy is if all the pictures I am finding were at least 1 – 2 years prior to her filming Saw 3D and that she had since hired a personal trainer and been lifting hard and heavy for the whole 1 – 2 years. We all know that the level of muscularity seen on the actress in the screen capture means shes a gym rat.

It is within the realm of the possible that it could be Betsy given the scenario I describe above. But it is not as likely that it is in the realm of the probable.

I’d need verifiable photos of Betsy with enough muscle size and tone to say it was her. Maybe the movie will somehow show scenes which reveal who the actress is. But for now, I’m still not convinced and consider it unresolved and unknown.

Check out 3 pictures of Betsy showing her exposed arms at angles that would have confirmed it to be her… but instead suggest that it is not. See the link below…

In a trailer for the upcoming movie Saw 3D is a very attractive looking actress with muscles. Screen capture below. I have tried to identify her via imdb but of the 2 actresses that looked like possibles, neither came even close in muscularity (Betsy Russell and Rebecca Marshall). The scene looks like it is special for just the trailer and promos and I am doubting that it will be shown in the film itself. Can anyone identify who the muscular actress pictured below is?

And I am aware that imdb identifies her as Rebecca Marshall in a photo, but they also mixed up which character it is. The caption says character Jill Tuck, but Rebecca Marshall plays Suzanne.

hope you don't take the crit badly, i do like the female captain america pics you did though:)

No, not at all. I am fine with critiques and differing opinions. Thank you for chiming in.

I know the Mavie pic is far from being my best work, I am usually my own toughest critic. All the same, I just find myself really liking this one, imperfections and all. It may well even be the imperfections which lead me to liking it so much.

All the sizes are likely out of sync. The three "frankensteined" models are all of very differing sizes and/or physiques. Mavie and Catherine are both small. Mavie being smallest and not as  ectomorphic as Catherine or Cindy. Cindy is the tallest.

Thanks for the compliment on the "American Dream" pics.

Either way, compliment or critique, sometimes it is just nice to have a wee bit of validation in the form of feedback. Something I am sure that any of the contributors here such as yourself can understand.

Well I am admittedly a bit disappointed. When I posted this image, I was really hoping to get some feedback/comments about it.

I am unsure why, but I find myself especially fond of this piece. Proud too. It is certainly not my best work, it did not take that long to make as compared to others I have done, and it is not even necessarily in keeping with my typical signature approach. Yet here I am, feeling a favoritism for it that I have rarely if ever held for any manip that I have ever done.

So please, if ever you have enjoyed any of my works, past or present, I would very much like to see some comments feedback to this piece. (And yes, I am aware that her arms appear proportionately short. I STILL like it.)

    Thank you.

    Too tempting, eh?

Yeah, most every image I have ever done came from some sudden inspiration which I then immediately set upon capturing if feasible.

Between the poses, and ScottG's comment of "The appeal of this picture is that Megan's arms are almost as big as the male's arms.", I had the thought of her arms exceeding his with enough strength that she accidentally lifts him because she grabbed his forearm instead of his wrist and then fails to notice the weight of him dangling from her raised arm.

It's a great picture, as is it's companion of them both flexing… which is where I got her flexed arm from… naturally.

    Rock On Dude!!!!!!!!!!

    Glad you liked it.

I want her to accidentally lift me with one arm…  ;D

Gimme your pic and consider it done. Just make sure it's both good quality and is suitable for working into the photo without appearing "doctored".

…Bet you weren't expecting THAT response.  ;D …And no, I am not pulling your leg.

    I'M ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVE!!!  😀

(Note to self: CHEW jellybeans before swallowing hand full.)

In all seriousness, it was driving me nuts that the magazine had teased me with that scrumptious mini preview pic and then never published a full size version. So it is incredibly satisfying to have gotten to finally see it. (Especially when I had given up hope of ever seeing it.)

Lee, thanks much, and I hope you will stick around on this forum beyond your participation in this thread.

I am certain the community here would love to hear you talk about your post editing process and techniques and tools over in the Art Q&A section.

    This is a great community.
