The problem with She-Hulk is, she has been pretty inconsistent.

First it was the sometimes angsty, mostly horribly cheesy Savage years… then she mellowed out in her time with the Avengers and Fantastic Four. Then Byrne got a hold of her and made her popular but probably made it impossible for the character to be thought of seriously and now we have Slott somewhere in between… and of course, generally her getting stronger means she's gone mental and/or fugly. Like "To Live And Die In LA" and "Search For She-Hulk" or "Avengers Disassembled"… although, her fight with the Champion of the Universe let her buff up… for a time at least.

All of this – combined with a general fanboy loathing of She-Hulk because "she's just a female hulk" – means that She-Hulk is probably never going to be the poster girl for buff superwomen… even if she is the most logical candidate, what with hulk being synonymous with big, green and muscular.

I think it's a tricky issue though. Inherently – as the Powergirl wrangling shows – as soon as you make a woman too buff, the fanboys instantly start the ol' "man with boobs" chants.

Perhaps you'd do best to start with a character, establish her ass kicking credentials and then gradually have her improve her physique or something… In much the same ways as Powergirl's breasts became bigger as time passed.

All in all, there's just no easy answer – there's an engrained disdain for muscular women and it would be hard to circumvent it.

Yeah, if a girl goes from 5' to 7'6" – her breasts are going to have to grow to just look the same size… and of course, they do… and then some. FMG stories tend toward the kind of… "idealisation" aspect of transformation a lot more than BE stories… with a BE story it's often just a simple case of a girl's breasts getting big and that being it… FMG stories tend to make women better in almost every way.

Ah, it might be a recent tale but it's got classic Lingster written all over it.

Nice to see the girls enjoying their power but not being tooooo nasty. This actually had a passing similarity to a Master PC story… except of course, that breasts weren't limited to DD and there was no mind control… so, not really that much like a Master PC story at all, really – beyond the plot device.

Anyway, great stuff – looking forward to the conclusion.

Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of.

I think I'd go with DCM on this one – they're all good… but really, it depends on the context and how they're done and how the mood takes me… but yes, I don't think there was anything mentioned that I'd turn down.

You can never have too many Japanese trading card game related cartoons!

I doubt that Sue will "Thing out"… besides if you want to see that – Manic did a sequence along those lines.

There's an inherent trade off in stories between how much you want to tell the reader and how much you want them to impose their own imaginings. I know an author who likes to gloss over the exact size of breasts because of that… and also because as far as BE goes, he doesn't like them too huge…

Of course, the flip side of that is the people that give blow by blow descriptions of measurements… which is distracting. Trying to visualise lot of different measurements is pretty jarring… or just boring. Which is of course why sports equipment is ever popular.

Yeah, the rights regarding these properties are just a big mess and really the only people that pay are the people that enjoy cartoons… because anyone that thinks "The Batman" is anything but banal product promoting junk is slower than the average bear… or about 8, not a patch on JLU or Batman: TAS or even Batman Beyond…

I've heard talk of a new Spiderman cartoon though… admittedly that was in the Mac vs. PC parody Marvel vs. DC… which I'd heartily recommend.

I don't get tired of saying it – bra sizes aren't good for anything other than telling you what size bra you need… and even then, they aren't so hot… once you get past DD cup sizes tend to break down and become increasingly meaningless.

You probably COULD get a Z-cup but if you had a dozen women I doubt any of them would look at all similar in their breasts… except, of course, that their breasts would all be quite epic… Once you get past ZZ or ZZZ people generally tend to go back to the start (though once someone started using punctuation)…

The LAST Avengers cartoon (which lasted even less time than Spiderman Unlimited… and about the same glancing moment as the cell shaded Spiderman) was awful.

To be honest, it still surprises me that the likes of Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans were cancelled… And that we've had no X-men cartoons for some time… given the number of superhero films, seems as if we should be awash with thing selling kids toylines…

Another Hulk cartoon would make sense, it's been 10 years since the last one, new pretty high profile film out in a year… still, never try and apply logic to these things.

Anyway, I guess the She-Hulk episode happens when it happens… but I won't be holding my breath for a superbuff amazon.
