Well, the He-Man transformation was considerable… She-Ra pretty much got a costume change and hairdo…

I actually thought the new He-Man series was pretty decent… not awe inspiring but fairly cool and such. If they'd done a She-Ra type story in the same vein, I think it could have been good… but yeah, she should definitely have actually LOOKED the part for the Princess of Power… as it was in the original cartoon, she was pretty much just a princess.

Actually, I imagine She-Ra might be more popular because the story was – at least theoretically – darker than He-Man… what with her fighting to free the land from the Horde, as well as the fact she had actually been on the side of the bad guys.

Sadly, if you venture outside your own community with what is considered abnormal… be that furry, giant breasts, extreme muscle or whatever it's not uncommon for people to make it patently clear that they don't much care for having their perceptions challenged.

Some artists seem to have had a particularly rough time of it on DA but I think that's more in the past than anything. Still, you shouldn't be surprised when some small minded person has a hissy fit – don't worry, they're the same strata of society that shouts "HOOOOEEEE TITTIES!"

There were rumours of a She-Ra cartoon back when He-Man enjoyed its latest return to the small screen… but when He-Man got cancelled pretty quickly, naturally, interest in that faltered.

As to the film – I guess it's POSSIBLE, if the He-Man one does well but my reasoning is thus… Spider Man has been one of the most massively successful film franchise ever… and I'm fairly sure no one has said "HEY! Time for a Spiderwoman/Spidergirl film!"
