    Yeah, your inconsistency with quotations is quite confusing really.

    You're running internal monologue with external dialogue… and just plain missing out quotation marks.

    Otherwise, not bad.

    Not bad for a short story.

    In fact, rather good. You manage to get the character across pretty quickly and give us a nice solid description of the growth.

    They never make these meta-events easy to follow and… if you're to read it all, it sure ain't cheap.

    It's sad… but rape seems to have become less of an issue and more of a plot device. There's enough of it in the real world and while it shouldn't be ignored… well, I hardly think that DC (and Marvel isn't innocent of the crime either) should be using it so excessively.

    But then, I think that because it's still guys that buy and read the majority of comics and by and by and on the whole tend to understand and appreciate male characters better – as is pointed out near the start of that rant.

    One might suggest the hypothesis that because women are more objectified, they have less depth/ass-kicking/interest and that helps to lessen their popularity/emotional connection to the fans and means that killing/abusing them is a pretty easy way to create drama/suspense/motivation for a plot.

    Just another reason to hate everyone.

    How vexing, we actually GET a decent more than "zap! POW!" transformation for Jen and it's not by Conrad.

    Still, I found #7 to be very enjoyable visually and otherwise. Slott is far better when the tone is more serious and jokes just pop-up, rather than the prevalent "wacky" tone of the previous volume. In any event, it's all good.

    #8 is supposed to be out now. I'll look forward to it.
