Ah Alex, no, not the mainstream outlets, but, in this era of alternative news sources, many of which cover unusual stories such as this, I’d have hoped that some source outside of the BBing game would have covered it. For example, if, as the writer of the link you posted claims, the Swedish government and media are rabidly anti-BBing, wouldn’t we expect one of their newspapers or news sources to be gleefully reporting this?
Does everyone have me on their ignore list or something? That wikipedia page I posted has plenty of non-bodybuilding related links on it. Also, that Swedish page containing photos and videos of Toney Freeman’s arrest wasn’t bodybuilding related either. I think it’s time you guys started doing your own research. Just because it’s not reported on the evening news doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!

Well,, much obliged. If I may ask what was the tipping point. Is it the story concept, the art, or what. If its the story concept then you will love, the one I am working on now, I am still in the prepping stage of it, but its tentatively titled Changing Times at Amazon High. I think the title speaks for itself. Just because of the story I want to tell with it, I think it will be a 70 plus page story.
Well, I’ve been very close to joining over the last few months anyway, but I guess what tipped me over the edge was seeing Zanfadar’s awesome art in combination with the kind of stories I love!

She has such a perfect face I don’t know why she needs that strange make-up. -Robert
Actually I don’t mind the glam makeup. It kind of makes her look like a superhero, especially combined with the super strong physique!

This simply can’t be real.
It’s just tooo much bullshit.
No way in hell this is real.
I’m afraid it’s all too real. Here’s video and photo proof of Toney Freeman’s arrest in Sweden.
http://st.nu/medelpad/sundsvall/1.2562995-har-grips-stjarnan-misstankt-for-dopningsbrottC’mon guys! As ridiculous as it is this policy of muscle profiling is, isn’t it more ridiculous to think there is a global internet conspiracy going on to make everyone believe that bodybuilders are being targeted by the Swedish police when they’re not!

They might ask her to put on some weight. If she can get Hilary Swank-ripped (as in Million Dollar Baby) that’ll be a good, mainstream-y look.
I wouldn’t count on that. If it gets picked up, it will start airing in September. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for putting on muscle I’m afraid we’re stuck with a Wonder Woman with the body of a runway model :(.

ParticipantSo they chose a tall, skinny stick. Oh well, if you’re going to fuck up a project, you may as well go all the way!

Doing that search on Google and Ask.com, what I’m seeing is various muscle oriented websites quoting the story from each other. What I don’t see is a real news site of some sort, US or European.
If this were really happening, you’d think that some of the more extreme liberal papers over there would be trumpeting this as some sort infringement of personal libertys.
Check out this wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toney_FreemanIt contains enough credible links (some in Swedish) for me to be convinced that Sweden’s muscle profiling policy is a real thing.
Perhaps the reason it’s not getting more coverage in the mainstream is that the general public pretty much assume that all pro bodybuilders are on drugs, so some are bound to get arrested in countries where those drugs are illegal. The wider implication of the policy is most likely lost on them.
Perhaps civil liberties groups are jumping on this, but they don’t really get a lot of coverage either, or it could be that they feel they have bigger fish to fry in this day and age.
