I love this site, but it’s kind of spoiled me for other members sites, with their only 1 angle for each pose! What’s up with that, lol!

A lot of the same models also have galleries on 3d.sk and photo-reference-for-comic-artists. I also just discovered that the photographer has a DA account http://kristinkk.deviantart.com/.

You both make good points. I think how interesting a villain is all depends on how they are interpreted in any given adaptation. I mean, I always thought Two-Face was a pretty lack-lustre villain until I saw The Dark Knight.

I think there’s potential in Ares for a good serious adaptation. Perhaps he could be a Gordon Gekko style corporate warmonger. Also, don’t forget they would also have the rest of Greek mythology to draw from as well.

It’s not Julia Stamper as the title indicates.

Although there is a resemblance, I don’t think it’s Jody Wald either.

I know I’ve seen her before. It’s driving me crazy!

Hah! I ended up finding her myself!

I started going through the competitor list for each NPC National contest on repetrope.com, and through blind luck, found her in the 2005 NPC Nationals list almost straight away. Sadly, it seems that this was also her last contest.

Oh yeah, her name is Jodi Coy! Possibly another reason I was thinking of Jody Wald.

By the way, the image in the original link is heavily morphed, if anyone is interested. Maybe that’s how she would look now if she had stayed in bodybuildng :).

Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to me. As for the more realistice skin tones and renderings, it all depends on the look that I am going for. But, I think you will be happy with some of the new artwork that will be coming out shortly. And as for striations, Tigersan makes them look so easy, but believe me they are not. But I do have plans for having them, and I am currently in the midst of creating one, but its a lot of touch and go.

Thanks for the reply. After having a closer look at your renderings, I see that there is a nice sheen to the skin tone, which does makes it look quite realistic for an off-season type look. I guess what I’m looking for is the ultra-ripped contest look that artists like Tigersan are able to achieve. Don’t worry, I know that Tigersan has been developing his techniques for the best part of 10 years, so I know it won’t happen over night! It’s just good to hear that you are striving to improve the quality of your renders with each new comic. It’ll be something else to look forward to when reading them.

Your comics are phenomenal! I will definitely be joining up as soon as I have some money available. The only thing I would like to see is better skin shading and bump maps for veins and striations.

I’m not surprised, but I am very disappointed.

I hate it when people cite past failures featuring strong female leads, like Bionic Woman and Elektra, as reasons why a Wonder Woman adaptation wouldn’t work. They were both let down by bad writing and, to me, that’s the reason they failed. Alias and Buffy had strong female leads, but also very good writing, and they were both extremely successful.

Also, if it’s true that DC are demanding a high price for licensing the Wonder Woman character, then they are idiots! The brand is fading fast and a quality live-action show would give it a much needed boost before it becomes totally worthless.

And gay? Who cares? I think it’s a miracle that there are any straight women at all!

I just wish I knew what nightclub they were heading off to!

    Wow, this is awesome, Fasola!

She looks quite mean here, though. I thought she was supposed to be one of the good guys :)!
