I love Sarah Hayes! She is the new Gina Davis as far as I’m concerned!

Yes, sign me up for sure! Apart from the obvious damage they do to the female muscle industry, there is apparently a guy who posts material from members’ sites over there under the name Reason, which has lead to me getting some nasty emails from those sites. I see joining these members sites as a way of supporting female bodybuilders, since I don’t live in the US and can’t make it to shows, so it hurts seeing my reputation in their eyes damaged like this.

There was that recent case of that porn website using female muscle art without permission that got shut down pretty darn quickly. However, I think they were stupid enough to use a US host which makes it that much easier and the copyright infringement was on the front page, whereas the SWSNBN has it all tucked away in the subscription section.

So I guess the first thing to do is find out everything we can about them and develop a strategy from there

With longer hair, she could play Stunner in a Spiderman movie. Great find!

These would be great as art references. It’s just a pity they are so small. Don’t suppose you have bigger versions of them do you?

Thanks for the pics. It must have been weird competing against women half your size! I wonder how they were able to judge such a wide variety of physiques like that. I knew there were fewer and fewer women competing in bodybuilding in America. I guess it’s the same in Europe too.

I disagree that the height is not an issue. The budget for TV shows is a lot tighter than for movies. There’s no way they’re going to budget for all of the main character’s long shots to be filmed in front of a green screen just so they can make her look taller than she is!

The only other option is not have long shots with other actors, but that would be close to impossible for fight scenes, unless you always use short actors for the villains :). It’s a pity though, as I believe that this Aussie actress is facially a dead ringer for Wonder Woman, but unfortunately she is only 5’4.

Seems like a lot of people want the actress to be of Greek descent, but I would put her looking the part ahead of her ethnicity.

Right now my fantasy choice for casting would be Eve Torres from WWE and my realistic choice is still Sarah Lancaster from Chuck.

However, I can see this series focusing on drama over action, so I’m pretty sure we’ll be stuck with a stick!

That little moan she let out as she went into the most-muscular was just too damn sexy!

Actually, I’ve always thought the gap between Pro Figure and Pro Bodybuilding was too big, so I think the new division is a good idea. I think this gap is why a lot of fan favourites end up retiring from the sport once they turn Pro. It seems stupid that they are forced to choose between no longer working out with weights to make the transition to Figure or going to the extreme to achieve the mass and hardness currently required to compete in Pro Bodybuilding, especially since a lot of us think they pretty much look perfect the way they are!

Don’t get me wrong, I love hard-core female bodybuilding (apart from the involvement of drugs), and I can’t see it ever going away, no matter how much the IFBB want it to. After all, it’s survived this long, and I just think there will always be an audience to watch women who are dedicated to realising the full potential of their physiques and compete without limitation. I know it will never have mainstream appeal and and a huge number of competitors, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Certainly for me, the fact that very few women are able to naturally add on a lot of muscle is part of the thrill of the sport.

So I really hope this new division takes off and becomes the premier female division, while still allowing room for Figure/Fitness and Bodybuilding at either side. but I know it will never have mainstream appeal. Also, I know that it still takes a lot of effort to compete in Figure, but IMO the competitions are just so damn boring! It’ll be great to see these athletes have a chance to do an expressive routine instead of just smiling and doing endless quarter-turns! It would also help differentiate between the competitors, so it’s not just a “hotness” contest.

Anyway, if you’re worried that this will be the end of female bodybuilding as it currently stands, I guess now’s the time to get out and see a show, so we can prove the powers that be that it has not “already phased itself out”!
