ParticipantLove to but i have cyber stalk. sorry sweetie.
Well, that's gotta suck. I imagine getting unwanted positive attention would be just as bad as getting negative attention. Whatever happened to treat others as you would like to be treated. Do you by any chance have a story of a more positive response to your physique, like perhaps someone you wouldn't expect giving you a polite complement or something?

ParticipantI live and work in New york city.
And I was visiting family Upstate when it happened.
Started working out in Sept.2001.
I work Out for BULK & size, I'm 5 foot 6 inches 164 pounds
But I have a 24 inch waist.
I love going to comic cons and dressing up in costumes.
I love Sean Connery
I'm Japanese and Italian Desent.Wow, awesome on all counts!
Feel free to ignore this, but any chance of a photo in one of your costumes? I've been to a few comic cons, but I don't think I've ever seen buff girl there, let alone one doing cosplay.

ParticipantIt's a fact of life that anything out of the ordinary is gonna get both positive and negative reactions from people. The fact that she was so nasty about it just speaks volumes about the low quality of person she is, as does her own unfit figure. Just bear in mind that for every person like her there would be people who have the opposite reaction and would look at you as an amazon goddess, but most people would just admire the results of your hard work.
Just how big are you anyway? I always pictured you as a fitness type chick, but maybe even that's too much for some people.

ParticipantThis is really cool seeing your progress as you get ready for the comp. I don't think it's ever happened before on all the years I've visited this forum. Also, the fact that you don't seem too phased by the fact that you basically lost a week shows you've got a great head for competition. Go, Oana! The whole of Amaz0ns will be behind you!

ParticipantThis image is simply incredible. When I clicked on it there happened to be some operatic type music playing on the telly in the background and it made for quite a dramatic moment. I hope you continue collaborating with Stef in the future.

ParticipantWow, these colorings are really well done, and you seem to be getting better with each one that you do! The rendering of the light and shadows in the Power Girl drawing is really exceptional.
Reason
ParticipantWow, love the great dynamic poses in this picture. It'll be great to follow your progress as you take it through the different stages.
Reason
ParticipantI think this is probably your best drawing, at least from a technical standpoint. All of the elements have been executed perfectly.

ParticipantIt may take some time before I have these finished, so I decided I'd put up some works-in-progress images.
My next Maidens 2009 submission:

Thanks very much for posting these. I'm a big fan of work in progress shots like this as it really gives us a glimpse into the artistic process. I find studying how you've used the perspective guidelines particularly helpful. By the way, are you planning to any journal articles covering some of the technical aspects of drawing, like perspective and figure construction, as well as the excellent ones you've already posted covering the more artistic side.
By the way, you really nailed the low-angle perspective on the figure in the first drawing.

ParticipantWow, there are some awesome entries there! Congrats on running such a successful competition. Next time, how about offering up an additional people's choice award, so that everyone got a chance to vote on their favorite? I would be happy to offer up the extra prize money for something like that.
