ParticipantI see Juan is still using micro-size images for his site. For this reason I prefer Muscular Development Online's coverage of shows.

ParticipantBut how can the judges know who is abusing steroids? All they can do is penalise competitors who are "too" muscular, which I don't think is fair either.
To be honest, I felt really let down when I found out how prevalent steroids were in female bodybuilding. Part of what first fascinated me about the sport was that it proved that it was possible for certain genetically gifted women to become more muscular than the average man, making them almost super-women. Now I find myself wondering if it's even possible without steroids.

ParticipantElena's is the only FBB paysite I'm a member of. I truly consider it an honour to support her, mainly because she is against using steroids, which I believe are killing this sport.

ParticipantThat's by Dairoku Tenmaou Great, right? Anyone else wish he would paint a whole comic, Alex Ross style?

ParticipantWow, this is a great first effort and I'm so glad to see someone else on this board using Anime Studio! That's also some great advice from Ashlee. If you want to create professional looking animation, then why not go through the same steps as the professionals do.
Some people don't realize it, but learning to animate is like learning to draw all over again. The same elements go into creating movement (eg attitude, exaggeration, composition, etc) that that go into creating a single pictur it takes a lot of time to learn how to apply them properly.
As well as the magazines that Ashlee mentioned, there are some great free websites offering Animation Tips and Tricks:
http://www.karmatoons.com/There are also some great books around. Some of my favorites are:
Character Animation Crash Course
Timing for Animation
CGWorld Special BookYes I know the last one is in Japanese, but it has a huge amount of reference sequences in it, so you can still get a lot out of it.
Just like drawing from a reference is really good practice, you could also try animating from a reference, say from YouTube.

ParticipantOh cool, I was going to ask you about older works. I mean you couldn't have gotten this good overnight!
Oh, and remind me to thank LH for rejecting these – they are as spectacular as ever.

ParticipantFinally getting a chance to reply to this thread again. I kept coming across that picture of Mimi and forgetting who I was and what I was doing…
Anyway, I'm so happy this is going ahead, but since it's Quantum Leap and they're only asking for 1-2 hours worth of work from the FBB, I hope that doesn't mean we're going to see a 6 foot man in his mid-thirties up on stage in a posing bikini! Anyway, I'm sure there will be creative ways around it, like mirrors in the gym and him through a camcorder, etc. At any rate, I hope this production puts female bodybuilding in a positive light, as it looks like the movie version of Chemical Pink is still in production and is likely to do plenty of damage if it ever gets made.

ParticipantLoved your LH Art drawings and love this one too. I especially like how feminine she looks. It's also good to know that you'll still be posting your great art here from time to time.

can somebody help me? i only used to buy via paypal…and for the sketches that are already on this site, what about between 5 and 10 usd? i dont know…
see you soon!
ozThat's good to hear. I scour the site every month, but haven't seen anything come through yet. Do you have any plans to do a comic or illustrated story, or are you just sticking to individual artworks for now?
I personally would be happy to pay $30 for a commission, even though it's now more like $50 Australian. I've never received money through PayPal either, but I'm assuming it works much the same way, only they credit your credit card instead of debiting it, and maybe take out a fee. I would be happy to be your guinea pig for your first commission. What's your preferred method of contact? (You can PM me here.)
