ParticipantHmmm, what could have been, eh? I guess this is what she would have looked like if she had spent the last 6 years gaining the same amount of mass that she instead lost. Damn society and its preconceived notions of female beauty! Wouldn't a comeback be cool, though, and it's not unprecedented.

ParticipantI never thought I would say this but the Flu rocks!
Man, I thought I dreamt that muscle chick version of "That's the Way I like It". So that video has been floating around my subconscious all these years and here I am at midnight typing a reply on a muscle-chick message board. I guess popular music can be a corruptive influence after all!
Any chance of giving out the name of the German website. Sounds quite cool.

ParticipantThe good thing about Pete's technique is that it's incredibly simple and would apply to any paint app that let's you vary the opacity and hardness of the brush.
It also seems like he doesn't rely too much on the pressure sensitivity of a tablet so you could use a mouse with this technique as well.
Just an aside, the September issue of 2DArtist http://www.2dartistmag.com/ has a two great tutorials on painting realistic skin. Unfortunately, they both use guys, but the principals are the same.

ParticipantExceptional work here. That last one is up there with the best of the more massive muscle-girl renderings and that was just a sketch?!?
Good to see you making up for the time you didn't know about this forum.

ParticipantThat was incredibly generous of you Pete. Thank you very much. It seems that you almost use a digital "wash" technique like you were painting with acrlics or something. Do you use a tablet or do you do this with mouse?
Too bad I can only get PSP as a trial and that it's harde to use than GIMP or else I'd d/l it again and do that kind of morphing.
Have you tried GimpShop? It's supposed to give the Gimp a more photoshopy look&feel and is also free.

ParticipantHey, nice porphs, Dorf! Hard to believe that these are some of your first. I have to say that I prefer morphs where you have very little to start with instead of messing with what is already pretty damn impressive to start with.
Hmmm, I wonder if any celeb has ever seen a morphed picture of themselves with extra muscle and gone, "You know that muscle actually does look pretty good on me, I'm gonna get buff". I remember Gwyneth Paltrow saying on Dave Letterman a while back that she wanted to get buff to the point where she started to "scare her friends". Don't think anything came of it though, but at the time I wondered what put that idea in her head.

ParticipantI hope this goes some way to answering Reasons question too. In Brief, I just squirt paint about till the picture looks right to me. If it doesnt, I erase it and start again.
If that's not an artist's response, I don't what is LOL!
You're right, you do have a unique style which comes through equally in your draiwing and "Porphs". Any chance of some step-by-step screen shots though, like some helpful artists have done in the past? Or are you saying that there are no real stages to it, you just rework different body parts as they need it. I just really like the way you shade and match the skin texture, etc.
Anyway, keep posting. Can't wait to see some more.

ParticipantInstant classics, every one of them! If you don't get around to coloring them I'm suer someone on this board will step forward.

ParticipantEach one was better than the last! Any chance of a time-lapse vid or some screenshots so you can demonstrate your technique a bit?
Reason
ParticipantAny chance of animating this, so she can show us just how easy it is?
Great version of a great character!
