ParticipantSame here. Drama choked me out. Of course, the fact I was more interested in the underutilized Prometheans than the played-by-everyone-and-his-grandma Garou and Kindred probably didn't help much. (Mage? Forget it. I got totally lost in all those rules for casting and paradox – way too complex)
Um… with "drama" you mean "roleplay" or "they are all a bunch of emos"? If it's the first, I disagree, because that's why I like about RPGs ^_^ If it's the latter, then I kind of agree. But that's why the "golden rule" was created. GMs have the power to change anything they don't like. Too emo? Lower the emo-volume if needed. Problem solved ^_^
I agree I am not interested in Vampires nor Werewolves, dunno if it's for the same reasons, though. But I disagree about mage. Well, I haven't read the new book properly (I got the book last week), but if it's any similar to the old one the rules, after you have started playing, are very simple. Be subtle and you'll have low paradox. And the casting rules aren't difficult, they just require a little imagination -again, I am used to the old mage system, I don't know the new one yet- O_o (I felt the urge to "defend" it because it's my fav. WoD game ^_^ Followed by Changeling).
In any case I haven't played Promethean yet. It's the one about constructs?
Oh, and by the way, people, try Scion if you have the change. You can play as the spawn of a deity there. And you can, eventually, become a god(dess) ^_^ I made my first character in that game a couple days ago, she's one daughter of Odin and I would want her to become the new nordic deity of strenght ^_^

ParticipantI have commented on dA already, but I thought it would be fair to comment here as well ^_^
I loved it 😀
There you are 🙂

ParticipantWell, most people tend to imagine any girl in a RPG as their ideal image of what "beautiful" looks like. In fact, most people tend to act negatively in front of any character in general, female in particular, that is not… uh… "hot", so to speak. In theory, any character with strenght 5 (in WoD) has achieved the maximum strenght possible for a human being (and with 6, with that special advantage that you found in the Mage book that human would have SUPERhuman strenght)… still, most people would think that the character SHOULD look thin and slender if the character is female.
You've put a female bodybuilder (that most people that aren't into FM find unatractive) as your avatar, but if you had make her, say, a fat woman, a bald one, a…. well, ANY female that does not "fit" in the commonly-accepted-by-society concept of "hotness", or at least "cuteness", the reaction would have been the same O_o
I certainly don't want to sound as a wise-ass but… is it really the first time you've seen this? I've DMed the legend of the five rings for years (and some mage) and I have introduced some muscular characters in the game. As well as other types "not so common" characters, but those are irrelevant in this forum ^_^ In any case, the reactions were kind of the same as the ones you described. But I explained everyone that if he or she is able to lift 500 pounds, there HAVE to be some muscles to make it possible. Now when I describe a really muscular character, their reaction is "OMG, I wouldn't want to fight him (or her)". I don't know if it's because they are my friends and they bear with me or if they really understood the concept, but they don't complain anymore. (Oh, and since I post some humble draws online I've received some negative comments like that about my draws… so for me it's something that can be expected)
I don't know how to deal with total strangers online that think like that, other than "using the rules". But the fact that the character can be STRONG and BEAUTIFUL (say, in the legend of the five rings they can have the "Benten's bless" advantage… or in WoD they can have a high appearance, for instance), is kind of difficult to understand for some people, so….
… in my opinion, if it's worth anything, you should ignore them and enjoy the game as much as you can with the character you chose to play *shrugs*

ParticipantOh, I will keep posting the draws online. I think. At least for now.
I tried to post my draws here once, and it was hardly noticed, so I kept doing it in deviantart. If you are interested, this is the link to the folder where I keep the muscle draws: http://satsurou.deviantart.com/gallery/#Muscular-ladies

ParticipantI really think that the "I'm a better artist than person" attitude is harming the… uh… artistic community,
I really meant the "I'm better artist than that person" attitude. I am sorry but I couldn't find the "modify" button anywhere.

ParticipantI just try to avoid any type of comparisons. Either if I win or if I lose. I really think that the "I'm a better artist than person" attitude is harming the… uh… artistic community, if there is one. The main thing here is not that I think I will never reach the level of that guy (or any other guy for the same reason). It's that I think that I will never reach the level that I want to reach. And it's extremely frustrating.
Thanks for the support, though ^_^

ParticipantHi there.
I really think I should say something here. After all, it's about something I did.
The reason I stopped the comic is indeed my low self-esteem. No other person should be blamed. Not even the person who said that so brutally honest critic that I mentioned in the link that Stmercy posted. After all, everyone is free to express their point of view, either if we like it or not (unless it's something illegal, of course, and nothing illegal happened here).
And for those who are interested, I am not completely stopping drawing. It's just that I stopped drawing comics. That's all. My low self-esteem can't deny my urge to draw (ok, I don't draw as a pro, but I need to draw. I would do it even if I didn't posted them on the internet).
And by the way, Jebriodo (it's an honor that you knew about this), yes, in the end the girl got her muscles back. Another girl lost them for good, but that doesn't matter anymore, I guess.
To those who were reading it, thanks for reading and my apologies if my decision dissapointed you.

ParticipantThanks JimmyD ^_^ It was a long time since I didn't came to this forum 🙂
In fact I haven't post any message for a couple more pages that I posted before that chinese flashback ^_^ I'll try to remember to post here the next pages 🙂
And thank you all for the possitive comments and the support 😀
