I received the magazine and it's great.  The only downside is the length — this is just a rough estimate, but each of the stories is probably 8-10 pages long, for a total of about 80 pages.  To my surprise (looking at the original preview pics) I thought it would mostly be female on female stories with possibly some futa.  In actuality, it's mostly female on male stories with no futa that I could see (which is a blessing for me).  Some of the work is exceptionally well done.

In any case, I don't have a scanner, and even if I did I wouldn't rip the whole magazine (I'd encourage people to support these artists — there are so few that do good, quality muscle girl art).  I may be inclined to post a preview pic or two from some of the stories — I'll let you know.

Ah, I should have mentioned I work with DTM on amysconquest.com (if that wasn't clear).  🙂

That aside, I did want to also mention that we do have some new artwork available this month.  Reddyheart has produced for us some great, hentai-style drawings.  You can check more out at the site.  Thanks.  🙂

Femxman, just to elaborate further on your specific question (regarding contracts), we negotiate deals with each artist for each specific story in writing (usually email, as it's the easiest method).

    * Some artists get paid a traditional commission (which is competitive with what LHArt offers, for example).  As the site has grown we have been leaning more towards this business model.
    * Some artists produce a small number of drawings (usually in the neighborhood of 10-15 line drawings, as DTM mentioned) and get full access to the site.  They also get advertising on the site and in DTM's stories.
    * Some artists produce 1-2 drawings and are provided access to certain sections of the site.

In each case, we work out the deal with the artist ahead of time and ensure that everyone knows their obligations — on our side (either paying the artist, providing advertising in new DTM stories, etc) and on their side (producing pictures by a certain time, meeting certain standards for size and detail, etc).  The artist is aware (as DTM mentioned) that they can download any of the content from the site once they have access (in case the site "blows up" — which is unlikely).  They also are aware that we're going to advertise their work in new DTM stories — obviously, if DTM stops writing (god forbid), we can't advertise for them using that method anymore.  😛

As DTM also mentioned, we have gone back to a number of artists that have provided us free drawings and requested they work for us on commission.  Actually, we've done this for over half of the artists.  If we feel what has been produced is of high quality (and it usually is) we have no qualms coming back to the artist and offering money for more work.

We've been trying to model the "free access" program on a similar program offered by Kandor at Kandor.net.  There, Kandor offers one month's free access to people who write stories he uses on the site (http://www.kandor.net/menu/authors.htm).  We go a little farther by giving lifetime access, advertising their work, etc.  It's a nice bonus for people that would like access to the site, want to see their work shown to more people, etc.

So, in summary, yes, there are contracts.  However, a good number of them end up being "You draw for us and we pay you X" (the traditional model).  The "free access" offer is available, though, to those who'd like to partake, and both sides know fully the obligations before starting.  In almost all cases, we try to continue the relationship further after that initial story.

We've just released another story if anyone's interested.  Unfortunately, we can't post a lot of the preview art because it's adult-oriented, but here's one picture:

For those wondering, here's some art from the brand new story we posted.  Matt did an awesome job and got a free lifetime membership as a result.

Well, i'm going to read first the story and if i have time, because i make drawings for Mimi first, i'll send you something.
I don't work for money, only for pleasure  😉

    Sounds good!  🙂

We've gotten responses from some interested artists (some of which muscle girl art fans will recognize).  If anyone wants to get involved, simply contact us through the site.

    Hey lilguy, love your stories.

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but you can commission FemForteFan (the artist that does the Amy artwork) for your own artwork.  If you private message me I'll send along his contact info.

We're actually going to have a links page soon so people can reach our artists easily.  They do great work and we love to support them.

Then I would think you'll be in luck to find an artist that will do it. A lot of artists like to work for actual money, me being one of them.
How much value are you suggesting for each image? Because 3 to 5 drawings can be quite costly depending on the artist etc.

The Amy stories cost $9.95 each.  We plan to have at least 6 of them.  Total would be $60.  $60 / 3 drawings = $20 per ink line drawing.  Average LH-Art story has about 20 drawings (ours do as well).  $20 x 20 drawings = $400 for a full story.  $400 per story is in line with industry averages (about $300-500 for a completely illustrated black and white story, which is what we and others pay).

The artist would be getting free advertising on stories that see thousands of hits per day.  DTM's library is consistently one of the top on DtV, and our site gets a lot of traffic.  DTM in particular has drawn a good deal of money commissioning original works for buyers.

In a way, it's similar to "gifting" illustrations to other artists or having a guest gallery.  We are certainly not forcing anyone to participate.  However, if they like the artwork and would like to get it free (as well as getting their name in front of more muscle girl fans) we'll be glad to work with them.  And, if their artwork proves popular, we may be interested in continuing the relationship for monetary payments as well.

Details are on the site, but basically at the moment artists get free advertising on all new DTM stories, as well as on the site (where they're free to ask for commission from others on original artwork).  They also get access to all Amy artwork present and future.  It's similar to what Kandor does at http://www.kandor.net/menu/authors.htm  The quantity of drawings we're talking about is small.  No more than 3-5 for any one of DTM's stories.  So, 3-5 drawings gets free advertising as well as access to all artwork.

If people are interested they can contact us and we'll work out further details.

    Who considers rape a turn-on?

From the large number of stories we've sold, I'd venture a lot of people.  🙂  Keep in mind, it's all in the context of fantasy (similar to, say, wanting to see a musclebound Marge Simpson).  If you like the fantasy of it, you can support it.  Otherwise, you can ignore it.  All up to you.  🙂
